So, in the guide, plus in the AVN conversation with Ziv when I brought up the harem route, it sounded more like a polyamorous relationship/group relationship where everyone is in a relationship/sexual with one another, not really a harem where it's the MC in a relationship with multiple women, and they are just with the MC.

Yeah, I remembered about the last game. At least this one has the option of keeping the relationships separate, so that's what I'll be doing. I'll lose out on sex content, but that's fine.
I wouldn't call it a "harem" path though. Should just call it like it is as a polyamorous path.

Today i was tried again.. But as soon as the game open..it quit by itself and it happened repeatedly.. Is their anyway or procedure to give you some data or proved of this problem. I mean he isn't exactly wrong. SL is a poly game foremost. So is this one. Not that there is anything wrong with that. :shrug:
SL and Tales are one of the best family focused incest games out there. Maybe next to PL which is also an all time classic in the genre.

Look for it in the same directory as the saves in the Documents/RenPy_Saves directory

Harems are a type of polyamorous relationship, the people who get super hung up on trying to differentiate them, are basically the same as people who refuse to acknowledge that all squares are rectangles, add in their bigotry and they don't really contribute anything of benefit to the discussions here.

Also, I wouldn't consider a harem as a polyamorous relationship simply because of the connotation behind polyamory.
So no, a harem does not equal a polyamorous relationship just because a collection of people use polyamory as an umbrella term. Even the other poly's, (polygamy, polyandry, polygyny, etc. and even others like bigamy, etc.) already existed and covered many of these relationships, the only thing polyamory added to the table is that it's more malleable and can move outside of the aforementioned poly (and bigamy, etc.) terminologies used to define specific non-monogamous relationships. That's it.
While harems fit in the concept of polyamory, harems are not necessarily polyamorous relationships by default since harems existed before people in Western society came up with the polyamorous concept. If you ventured into cultures with harems in the past, and even today they'd likely not call themselves polyamorous of course since it's a 90s' definition that originated in the West. It might be arguably the same with the other academic definitions for non-monogamous relationships.
So just tag the game like it is. It's a poly route, not a harem route.
Regardless, this is all my opinion. I'm not here to argue with you over and over about a topic like this since it serves nothing but terminology baiting. I said my piece, you said yours. We don't agree, so I'll let you be with your belief, and I'll stick with mine.

Eh, yes and no. The two types of relationships can certainly overlap or blur and I do agree that it's pointless to "get super hung up on trying to differentiate them" because most games on here contain a mix and not strictly one or the other. And considering there is no poly tag and both types are currently tagged as harems, it seems the site admins agree that there's no point in differentiating.
However, unlike your example of squares and rectangles where, indeed, all squares are by definition rectangles, not all harems are polyamorous. At least not with the common definitions. The simplest definition of a polyamorous relationship being consensual nonmonogamy i.e. mutual non-exclusivity between partners whereas a harem describes one person (the one with the harem) having many partners (harem members) exclusive to them.
This game even makes a distinction between the two, like tbarton is referring to, with the ep14 choice to keep relationships separate or to combine them. Unfortunately, this game calls the poly path (with the combined, open group relationship) the harem path and does not correctly label keeping the many separate relationships between Camden and the others a harem path. And I say this as someone who is on (and enjoying) the harem/poly path.
Should probably not discuss this topic further in the thread but I'm fine to keep talking in PMs.
