@stevenrith I was more referring to the fact as Jande said it lists many alt right personalities/groups as part of the "featured creators". I wasn't saying hatreon itself was an alt-right website (hence the tangentially). Many ppl/things are judged by the company they keep, so potential patrons would likely look at the website, see the alt-right stuff and not want to be remotely associated with it.

As I see it, Patreon in fact wants to ban adult content (or at least adult games), but they can't openly- just in case someone wants to sue them - so they're creating "rules" to prevent creating any adult content.

Hatreon was specifically opened to give voice to radical right-wing voices that were banned elsewhere, with the CEO of Hatreon saying he does not necessarily object to anyone calling his site an “alt-right version of Patreon”. Do I think everyone on the site is a terrible person? No, but when the majority of the creators are openly Alt-Right I'm less likely to support anyone on that site.

Oh Jack is more progressive left so he is pretty far to the left but he lives in San Francisco so it's normal there. He is a lot like his similar named Jack over on Twitter, now there stock is falling and after they started banning everyone for the past three years it's fallen even further. Switching gears, one thing that occurs to me in my sleepy haze is that programs written in Ren'Py are unavoidably very easy to modify. Literally anyone could unpack the files, rewrite the game in any manner they see fit and there's absolutely nothing I can do to prevent it. Heck, maybe someone already has, it's a big internet.

Literally fucking Stormfront is one of their top revenue makers there, that is all you really need to know, ain't nothing "ironic" about those guys.

But yeah deem, my personal advice would be definitely get alternatives ready, but don't just bail out on patreon until you absolutely have to. Because you're obviously gonna lose a chunk of your income from the switch, so frankly I'd get shit ready to go just in case, but stay on patreon until you absolutely can't any more due to being banned or them just straight refusing to give you your earnings and then move but not a second sooner.

Gotta get that cash as long as you can you know that.

I would absolutely get banned. Even if Patreon isn't watching, someone would report me. The changes I've made so far I'm fine with, the daughter thing is problematic but I have a solution for it.
