Was only able to add tp.exe to my AV whitelist but no difference was made as it was still deleted. How would you add all game files to your av whitelist?
Uninstalling the AV usually does the trick. AVs are useless anyways.

Most AV's have option to whitelist file or a whole folder. It's a good idea to whitelist a folder where you'll download these games.
When you add that folder to exclusion list or whitelist it, try downloading TP again and extract it to that same folder.

I have to disagree with Shiva0067 (#4603)
I doubt if there is anyone in the UK under the age of 70 who doesn't know what peanut butter & jelly is. Having been saturated with US culture (?) from Hollywood and elsewhere for so many years we are aware of, put up with and often even incorporate your mangling of our wonderful language because it's so much easier than trying to teach Americans how to speak it properly.
To my American cousins, please don't take offence - I'm just having a bit of fun with Shiva0067, a.k.a The Cookie Monster.
And while I'm here as a self-appointed spokesman for the UK, I should add that we all love the Nederlanders. Hup Holland Hup!

Well, it has been a LONG time sine I lived in England (came back to the states in 1990), at that time the Jelly/Jell-o situation continued. Yes I'm old, you should respect your elders, and I am Eld, so respect me. :)

I am proud (proud I say) to be Bi-Lingual, I know bad American, and WORSE English. :)

Wait are people really having to change their games to avoid patreon retribution? I thought all you had to do was avoid mention on the post itself. That is rather upsetting.

Sadly it seems to that different reviewers use a WIDE variety of personal standards when they decide what is and is not acceptable. Deem has a couple HUGE posts, and there is a tread here on F95 dedicated to Patreons insanity. We can't talk much about the issue here so if you want to learn more check out that thread. Not only is the rule change that caused these issues a problem, but the fee changes to support people is a new and painful issue. Hopefully things will settle down soon and we can all get back to having fun (and eating Chocolate Chip Cookies.) :)

As to changes, yes some Devs have been forced to alter their games, though (sneaky unknown) modders give us a way to restore most if not all of the original.

Just some thoughts. :)

you mean Marcellus Gilmore Edson, a Canadian who invented peanut butter in 1884, 19 years before Carver introduced his product. The Kellogg brothers were the first in america to market peanut butter in 1895, so once again Carver is out of date there.
As we Dutchies would say: .

As Kelloggs got a mention earlier.......apparently they developed bland cereals including Corn Flakes because they thought that it would suppress sexual desire and reduce masturbation.
No, seriously. Google it if you think I'm joking.

Informative! And slightly disturbing to realize that even who invented/marketed peanut butter is apparantly a contested issue.

Actually the Carver/Peanut butter 'Dispute' was caused by his INCREDIBLE discoveries of uses for peanuts. The man was a true marvel, and because of that people just decided that he MUST have developed/discovered peanut butter. The truth is that he didn't 'Discover' peanut butter as it had been 'Created' before his work, to help the elderly eat protean even after losing most/all there teeth. Now, peanut butter is a glorious food that is enjoyed by many. :)

Carver's work is still a wonder (peanut based plastic anyone?), and the truth about peanut butter should not be used against him. :) Hmm, wonder if he discovered peanut butter cookies? :)

You know it's an abuse of the language (MeghansDad we colonized English, it's just how our parents taught us ;) ) when you need multiple regional dialects to travel and work abroad in the US... the only one I have a heck of a time with is the Cajuns, if I could just get one of them to ENUNCIATE... maybe I could crack the lingual barrier, but no the moment they go into that dialect the ability to enunciate evaporates into the hanging moss.

WHAT?!?!?!? You think it is a good idea to white list the folder where you download your pirate porn games so AV ignores it.

SHHHHHHHHHHHHH you're going to cripple my botnet.

Funny story, after I was hacked I got every anti-rootkit known to man. McAffee deleted every TP.exe from all of my computer (including in the old archived release versions).

Did the same thing for me. Lol. I just made an exception for it. Got mad and turned off real time scanning. (Bad Idea)
