most Japanese writers are not any form of Christian and so they just overlay their own cultural ideas onto them and sort of treat nuns like they're miko. Like it's a job you take for a summer as a teenager... this goes to ridiculous extremes in porn where most of their primary audience not only doesn't know but kind of doesn't care...
Also even if they're aware it's different sometimes terminology isn't always clear to them. I'm assuming it's a literal translation issue but whoever titled this clearly didn't know there is exactly one 'Holy Virgin' in the history of Christianity lol

So even after changing locale to japanese, still having trouble starting game, any idea? Error message saying it can't find the .exe file

I don't know what it means, but in my experience games like this really hate huge file system structures like that one you have there. Maybe you could knock down a few of those redundant directories and see if it changes anything.
The game is fourteen years old. It could be trying to store that filepath in a string or something and hitting an overflow limit. Just a guess, but probably worth a try.
