0.4.0 is odd, boring and kinda dumb - i am glad he ditched this idea.
there is a 100% video walkthrough? I don't want to play, but I want to watch the complete video.
Anyone else having a hard time getting this game to run on joiplay? Lately it seems like 80% of games I try to play on joiplay crash on start up.

Im running it on ruffle however for some reason its extremely laggy. Like you cross the mouse above the trigger but it light up after one second delay. I was worried it tear up my CPU but in taskmanager it seems okay so probably heavily unoptimized. But even with this pain it seems there is a lot of content and its relatively good. (At least without stupid mosaic and that is rare)

I used to play this game back when it was in alpha, and now that I came back, way later, wow it has changed a lot, for better or worse.
Honestly the roguelike gameplay is meh, the game was def better when it was more open world and let you explore and build your monster empire at your own pace, it felt like building an actual empire. Now it just feels rushed, boring and bland.
smth like this would've been better as an optional minigame or an separate mode you can access from the map and play for top tier rewards. I can see myself enjoying a single run of this slay the spire style every once in a while, but the fact that its the only gameplay now and I gotta do it over and over again just makes it not be fun at one point.
Only positive change I noticed is that you can give hearts to monsters even after they get out into the battlefield.
But Im not here to give a review, I just wanna ask a few things-
1) Are there any monsters that were introduced in the Beta but were not present in the Alpha?
2) What are major differences (besides the game shifting its gameplay style entirely) between the beta and alpha, especially concerning combat? Any features added or removed?
3) What is the latest version, of the game that had the older, open world exploration gameplay? Where can I find that version?
I was thinking of playing an older version that had the original gameplay instead of this new style, thats why I am asking these questions.

I am maybe a version or two behind but my understanding is:
1. No - I haven't seen any major new scenes since the old Flash days several years ago when the project went dormant for several years
2. The major difference was the shift to unity, pretty sure the gameplay stuff is going to be somewhat reversed in future builds as well and it will go back closer to the old style
3. Honestly the flash version still has the most content and makes the most sense imo. I still have copies of flash V5_01a and V5_02 but not sure there is anywhere to download those directly anymore. The Flash version linked at the beginning of this thread probably has most of the content but I haven't downloaded it and tried it so not sure which one it is. You'll need a flash player of some kind though. Some folks use Ruffle, I found the NewGrounds player works OK.
I love this game but it seems like it is going to be another several year wait for meaningful progress imo so I'm not really actively following it anymore tbh. Worth a try though for any new players and maybe I'll be proven wrong.
it is just me or the new version has problem with the resolution? like if not full screen the dialogues is not shown/cropped?

I don't know what platform screenshot you've shared, but on Patreon it shows $5k
Btw, can someone update the thread? In the comments, version 0.4 has already been dropped and on Patreon version 0.5 is out, but the thread still shows 0.1. How does that happen?
If no one has leaked the 0.4 version here and reported the leak as new update, then the OP isn't updated until some do that.
