You have no idea how hard it is to make a RPGM game...
it's not just "text and 2d pictures and a little copy paste coding, and 20 voice lines..." like you say, it's creating maps, adding text LOT of it, all the scripts, plugins, whole gameplay mechanics, multiple path...

AND where the fuck did you see 2d pictures ?? it's 3D renders, and to make tons of render with Daz is hard and time consuming, especially those kind of renders that are "non conventional" so you can't use preset poses because the big dick/boobs will get in the way so most of the time you have to create your own model and do the pose manually, then you have the rendering time, unless you have a last gen or previous gen GPU, it can take more than 10min just for 1 picture...

AND you have to come up with a good story
AND you have to write the story and dialogue in a way that is nice to read for the player ( you probably never saw a bad writing in a game, it's harder than you think to write something to make it nice to read )

All that with less than 2000€ per month WORKING ALONE !... try it and then you will have the right to complain about other peoples works

Oh and add to all this that the dev give the previous maj of the game for FUCKING FREE to everyone on is blog, so not locked behind patreon wall...

Right know the dev is working on a update with tons of content and a huge gameplay and system overhaul, and since RPGM is a crap engine, it's extremely hard to do anything out of the ordinary with it so it take a lot of time

yeah maybe, if he sat in feront of his pc and worked h24, stopping only to eat, shit and sleep, maybe he could manage to finish the update in time, but just in case you're not aware ( maybe because it's not the case for you ) PEOPLE HAVE LIVES !
