I was waiting for an update to play on vacation, now that I saw the post that said 55% I've already lost hope, see you next year!!!1!!11!1!! :3
Next year is just wishful thinking. I honestly think this game is toast! The only thing maybe keeping it a live are JimJims Patreon Subs that keep foolishly giving him money every month. For all the monthly sub money his subs dump into him, JimJim has almost nothing to show for it. I like that he had an outlined plan of how the game would progress, but he never came close to meeting those plans. His biggest downfall was completely rebuilding the game with the same arc he had developed so far. He should have finished to a certain point after the Casino section, come to some finality there after, and then rebuild start with a fresh game/story. Or maybe this whole time he has done minimal work for a game, but it was designed more like a ponzi scheme to take the subs money and show just about nothing for it?

You mean the money subscriptions JimJim keeps turning off when he gets logjammed like this? The money that's stopped flowing for months now? That money?
He's been working on the same game for years. Early years he was delivering updates, but not anymore because he nitpicks too much with details. There has been a long time frame where he was taking sub money and not delivering much. Overall he doesn't deliver anything worthy(sprinkled short comics are not much, as the big meat delivery is supposed to be the game).

He went from 40% to 55% with 2 weeks of work over 1 month so if it's 7.5%/week we are looking at 6 weeks of work at the earliest. But accounting for usual delays and if he might catch a cold or have to go to the hospital every few days, as most creators do, I'd expect release around June. Barring burnout, depression, remaking the game, or just outright disappearing

HELP! I played this game SEVEN years ago and have contracted Terminal EDGE. :ROFLMAO:

In all honesty though, how did the game even get built up to the point it was at then. Its like progress was going ham in the first 2 years, then the "Dev" (Director) ran out of funds to pay Filipino RPGM devs and has ben stringing us along...That or he stopped giving an F about producing this game and can now just pay a few dollars a month to a dev in a poor country while collecting a couple grand a month from gooners... Guy had like $1,000/month back around 2021, and it's only gone up while the amount of seeming work on this game has significantly gone down.:poop:

If they pull their head out of their butt and surprise us all with a full update or the entire intro completed in a year or even two, I'll eat my panties. :sneaky::coffee:

This game has the same issue as TLOQOO expect much earlier in development and on a much larger scale: focusing too much on unnecessary bullshit side content instead of the actual game. I've been following the development extremely closes because even despite how horribly it's been managed this is still by far my favorite hentai game and this issue is clear as day yet neither jimjim nor any of his supporters care to confront it. There's a reason updates were coming out at a decent pace up until the very moment they stopped progressing the story and instead focused on revamping the game.

I would bet money we'd be long past this dreadful v.0.10 if that's what Jim actually worked towards. Instead we got: extremely niche mechanics, like finishing and a drunk system that maybe 1% of players will actually utilize, a shit ton of redundant renders, hell there's probably VNs out there with less. Why are we wasting time on multiple renders of just characters talking or anything that isn't action for that matter? This was never a thing earlier in development either. There's also voice lines being done now, when they could've easily been saved for when the game is finished since it's unlikely they'll catch up with development anyway.
All of this and more adding up and it's easy to see why development has slowed down so much.

Sorry for the long rant but man I'm just so tired of such easily avoidable stuff stalling my favorite games.

Yeah the voice lines didn't have to be implemented this early into the game, especially when a small chunk of the dialogues is being voiced. Now that he implemented voice lines, people might expect chapter 1 to be completely voiced (atleast for Tiffany) but I know for sure that's not gonna happen bcs it's JimJim. He doesn't get shit done

Exactly. It's definetly one of the most baffling decisions. I understand getting them commissioned in advance but what's the point in implementing them already when you know you're going to be playing catch up wiht your own updates until the game is finished? Might as well just wait till then in that case. Especially for what's essentialy just a bonus

Yeah, a lot of these developers would benefit from having a project manager consultant. This isn't a unique problem for just JimJim, many solo developers on this site are talented at art, coding, and design. But knowing how to scope project requirements, shifting priorities on what to focus, and communicating effectively are all part of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). I don't know if many developers in this "Industry" have that background or experience.

Next on the agenda is a full visual revamp of the current content to add 4k animations of characters talking and jiggling their stuff.

I believe you are being too lenient about this, a lot of devs are just milkers that are scared that they will lose their money pot after the development finishes. I won't count Jimjim because he actually stops the billing multiple times and his scope of fetishs makes for easy games concepts. But even bigger developers end up trying to make their games an absolute master piece because they don't know if they will get another big project and/or wants more money from development time. This not counting how many good games got butchered for them to fit into a Steam release.
