A patron version using steam models mayhap??

That would be just as bad as the regular Steam version. The Steam models are what a lot of us hate about the Steam version.

I mean it's a matter of taste but to me the new models for Piper, Sarah and Lisa are fucking horrendous.
While Sarah is somewhat normal looking (still inferior to the original model imo), Piper and Lisa got beaten hard with the ugly stick. The steam model for Lisa looks like a 40 year old divorcee that smokes and drinks all day. And poor Piper I can only assume is either inbred or has some sort of growth disorder or syndrome.
I take no pleasure in being mean to a game I like but the new models really look absolutely dreadful to me.

Agree with the facial features description... Now that I think about it more the dev was probably trolling hard with those renders

Personally, I think a lot of it is because I'm used to the Patreon models. It's like there's a TV show you enjoy and you find out that for the next season, a couple of the main stars are being replaced with different actors. You're used to the original actors, you like them, you see them as the characters they play and you just can't picture the new actors in their places. You don't want the change and think it might ruin the entire show for you. In time, you might even like the new actors, but initially, they're just not what you're used to, so they feel wrong.

Now I'm torn over buying season 2, as I probably won't even play it.
Glad I checked the forum for the steam vs patreon comparisons, was just about to buy the steam version but yeah no way.
I do not dig the new models at all.
It would have been fine if they just removed the uniforms but kept the general look. Just look at Bad Memories steam release for an example, there are a couple fairly youngish looking girls but no school uniforms.

yes but in bm they don't look that much of highschoolers (they go to school but it isn't said anywhere what school aka high school or college).
other game got rejected by steam since it had 1 FUCKING SCENE where uniformed schoolgirl got gangbanged by her teachers (for grades) in a flashback, to get approved dev made her older and removed uniform (she herself removed rest
).

I'm confused. There's only one version of the game on the main page - I think it's the Patreon one. Is the Steam version only available on Steam? (I was just curious to see it, that's all, it looks as though the game is effectively dead anyway).
