Yes, The star of David is a Hexagram. I'm just confused about it being on the book. Maybe there wasn't a Pentagram book asset, and the dev just used the Hexagram one, or is the slasher/killer is just a really devout Jewish person.

You oviously don't understand it has more reasons/definitions/uses than just Judaism.
Now it is entirely possible Cell couldn't be assed finding a different/better asset or changing it in post. It's also entirely possible that the asset maker couldn't be assed doing anything better. That still does not change the fact that the hexagram is not solely used by what you think it is soley used for and is a prefectly acceptable symbol to use for the book in question.
Ok, Armchair historian... It's mostly commonly seen as the Jewish symbol, but whatever.

I'd agree it is most common as the Jewish symbol, but as you even said, it's not the ONLY use for it, which therefore makes it usage ok in this instance.

Yeah, stars of various points have different meanings in the occult. 5, 6, & 7 are the most popular because they're easiest to draw of course. You can see the 6 in Voodoo, as well as the Necronomicon (but thats just fiction... right?) The pentagram is used in multiple belief systems too under different names (like pentacle from Wicca.)

Normaly i'd say you're right...but considering the situation, he should be interested to learn to use a gun...well, i certainly would be in his stead. Especially seeing the police ain't really helpful.

You are right, but (if this is supposed to be US based) there'd probably be a waiting period to get a pistol so getting the three easy-to-use rifles immediately and starting the process for handguns is probably what she did. However, like some have teased, the dev might have been projecting some anti-gun ideals into his story and wasn't thinking about that aspect and might have just been accidentally correct.
