MTL translations translate each sentence separated from the others, so if a name has more than 1 translation in romaji it'll be translated pretty much at random from the possible meanings of the japanese characters.

using chatgpt can solve this problem but it cost around 30$ each game, so it's not really common

Well if the mtl translated the same names differently 3 times, we can assume the mtl is utter garbage.

We can assume it's one of those new-fanged "AI" translations. Algorithm-based translations would pick one transliteration scheme, and stick with it. While "AI"s are humanlike in all the bad ways, and dumb programs in all the bad ways too.
