Apparently there was some kind of glitch where you could get items from the 60% off sale for 0.60$ instead. So 99% off for most of them. That was fixed but now they also fixed the wishlist sale stacking that orgtech and oaiki mentioned. I had a cart with bundles at >90% off, now they are only 75% off.

EDIT: Someone in the forum pointing out it is the tokens not working, so maybe it'll be fixed.
It's not just tokens, stacking is broken (or else they're blocking me from doing the deals multiple times). I've tested two wishlist items in cart that are only 72% and 70% off with wishlist deal, but they're 65% off and 30% off BEFORE the wishlist deal, and the Choose 50% deal isn't applied at all. So it's just broken.

Yep, they updated the wishlist deal:

"Offer does not stack with other discounts."

(Schlongborn beat me to it but it's a stealth edit on the previous page)

Okay...

So, over at Daz3D.com, lightning deals are now gone. The url now redirects here:

outletbanner.jpg

Not exactly sure how you are supposed to sort Vintage vs. Recent on the outlet page, but yeah it's a new thing.

Apparently 'outlet' items will invoke 10% or 20% discounts today:
Get an extra 10% off* your cart with any Outlet Store item
Or an extra 20% off* your cart with any 5 or more Outlet Store items
Note: Outlet item pricing seems to be immune to tokens...

I'll leave it to you professionals to figure out the deal opportunities here...

There are no deal possibilities.

Instead of doing what normal people would do: gradually reduce the MSRP on V4, Genesis, Genesis 2 products, putting 10-20 year old products at deep discounts compared to modern products, Daz has maintained those prices for no apparent reason, just occasionally putting them on sale.

This is just the same thing with a new name. The outlet store has only 1200 products, whereas based on product IDs it seems like there must be 20,000 or more vintage products. So this is going to be just another rotating sale of old stuff.

The difference from usual is (a) there will always be something on sale, and (b) it will never stack with any other deals.

To me it's just Daz throwing something at the wall to see if it sticks. "Maybe this is the way to push some product."

Edit to add:

Here's a Daz3D forum comment, suggesting that more than ever this is just a normal deal given a new name and not a real distinct thing:

Ok, this might be a glitch that'll get fixed sooner or later, so I'm going to call it in a separate post instead of an edit:

Edit: Ok, it's not a glitch, it's "Daz+ members pay half"

Right now, everything in the outlet store is either $0.99 or $1.99, instead of $1.99 or $3.99. That means all the Genesis 8 items are $1.99, so you can (a) get 5 G8 items for $9, and (b) that will give you 20% off your whole cart, except those items or other non-stacking deals. (If you're still using G3, those are $0.99, so 5 presumably cost $5).

The 20% cart discount does apply to gift cards. 20% ain't the best, but if you need to recharge, the buy-in is cheap.

You can also still stack the 50% off "Choose" deal (with one buy-in) on the first 3 items in your cart.

OK, so while playing cart jenga, I figured out that the 'Wishlist' with 1 or 2 buy in items locks the discounts at 70% or 75% off, and no other discounts would stack over the 70/75%. I was actually seeing higher discounts on items (say77% instead of 75%) by removing the prereq items, at which point the 'outlet' cart discounts would finally apply.

Also, note that the Outlet Store discounts are halved if you are a Plus or Premier member, which explains the $0.99 and $1.99. This is explicitly stated in the banner for the outlet store, so this isn't a glitch. Yeah yeah fine print blah blah.

So unless a flash sale or something pops up, other than the gift card example you cited, not much point to the extra 10%/20% off outlet cart discount IMHO, as that won't get you anywhere close to 90% off, except for Daz Plus items maybe, and the extra 10%/20% discount doesn't apply to the outlet items themselves, which already have decent discounts at least.

So other than grabbing five of each category for the extra 20 cent discount on each item, yeah... hopefully something changes as the day progresses. In the meantime, I'm pretty happy with my cart, just need to pick a couple of unrelated items to push me over $20... I have 3 tokens expiring today, use or lose...

Just noting that it's weird seeing an RPublishing item in the Daz3D.com store...

Yeah, it's an Anagord asset, who probalby has transferred a number of assets from one store to the other, but still...

Another note. The flash sale banner is also gone from the Daz3D.com shop page header. I pretty much ignored those anyways as the discount wasn't high enough to interest me. So I don't remember what the URL for those was, and hence can't check to see if they are still lurking in the background or to see if it also redirects to the outlet page like lightning deals does. This seems like a change in strategy. It'd be nice if they started including end dates for sales to make things a bit more predictable at Daz3D.com, but of course I'm not holding my breath.

Sooo... today's new releases includes these pasties!

pasties.jpg

The bad news is that they are essentially geoshells, which makes transferring them to G8 or G3 problematic. The good news is that the price shown is $11.89, which makes them the cheapest buy-in for today's Daz3D.com sale.

Also note that you can get one selected freebie as part of the sale, or 3 freebies with one 'Friendly' new release, say the pasties I just mentioned.

You'd almost think that they made this sale just for us!
:p

The rest of the sale looks like more of the usual. Two 'friendly' new releases will net you 70% off of the featured artist stores, which is slightly better than the 65% we've been seeing a lot of recently, although two buy-ins mitigates that a bit. At least there are some interesting/sexy buy-in products in the mix, like Pasties and some nightwear, not to mention some G9F body morphs... Note that 2 'friendly' new releases nets an extra 20% off said new releases. The 'outlet store' discounts (10%/20% off cart) seem to be still in play, haven't tested my cart yet...

Edit: Yep, five 99/80 cent 'outlet' items does trigger the 20% off cart discount, including on the 'Friendly' new releases!

I'm still holding out for the end of May/June semi-annual sale. There have been some decent discounts in past years for said sale, but of course that's anyone's guess atm.

Over at Renderosity, probably the most interesting sale is this one, today only, 65% off if Prime. Might be interesting if you haven't fired off your monthly Prime coupon yet...

There are other sales running concurrently of course...

The problem with the 1-or-3 freebies is they're all pretty old.

Even if you're still buying Genesis 3 stuff, there's not a lot of choices there, as it seems like 90% of the G3 freebie items are pose sets.

I am not buying anything anymore at least for some time, but, if they are poses, there are both commercial and free utilities that allow you to convert and/or transfer from G3 up all the way to G9 and down all the way to V4 (see Richard and Tracy and N.Alexandru on Renderosity for free ones). In the past I even bought very cheap V4 poses, and then I use them even with G8.

New batch of freebies at Daz3D.com...

Also, the 10%/20% off cart if you have 1/5 outlet store items in your cart (cart discount excludes said outlet items) is still in play. Today's sale doesn't really move me, but of course ymmv.

I did wishlist this bikini (g9f/8.1f/8f) for later of course, as I'm collecting hot swimwear items for my upcoming project!

Anyways, yeah mostly just calling out the new batch of freebies. Older stuff of course, but there are a couple of somewhat newer items, depending on if you think that G3F is somewhat new or not, if you don't already have said items. Free is free!

It's nice to NOT have to check the Daz3D.com store every 3 hours for potential hot deals... good riddance lightning deals!

Hello friends,

Today I've found that there's a new 20% coupon code at work on Renderosity, which is not a very common occurrence during weekends, I believe. It is expiring at the end of the day, though.

rendo_coupon.jpg

It seems that the the two current sales with the best prices are: the and the .

By the way, what's your opinion about the new Outlet store at Daz? I like it. And I also like that the deals include non Daz Originals. I can see myself buying there frequently.

Cheers.

OK, sales are weird today...

There's some sort of 'epic' sale going on at Daz3D.com, but when I try to put the prereqs in the cart to trigger the discounts, extra discounts aren't applying.

Note that the extra 10%/20% off cart discount for outlet items is still in play, although I'm waiting for today's sale to be fixed. I'm kind of underwhelmed by the new items today, I was just testing the 'in cart pricing'.

Over at Renderosity, there's some sort of super secret wishlist sale, in that the discounts are generated by following the link to your wishlist from the sale page. It looks like a fair number of items are 60% off, some are higher, some are lower. There's also a warning about not removing and then re-adding stuff from your wishlist, as this will 'remove' said items from consideration for today's sale.

Anyways, just waiting for the dust to settle over at Daz3D.com.

Jumbi

I already liked your post about the outlet deals, but to clarify:
I like them, although I've cherry picked most of what I already want. So what's left are 'might be nice to have' items for me, not 'must have'. The extra 10%/20% off rest of cart if outlet items are included is a nice touch, not sure how much longer that offer will go though.

Checking Lightning deals every three hours was annoying, good riddance, and the outlet deals are good enough for me. Unfortunately, the outlet deals are token proof, so this messes with the 'token game', which I hate anyways.

So, I'm not seeing 60% on anything other than a couple of prime items, and the wishlist sale blurb does specify 50% off Characters.

Having said that, there appear to be other criteria at work, which is not unusual as not all vendors participate in the "Staff Managed" sales and even then vendors appear to choose which of their products qualify, examples from my current wishlist:

This one is not in any promo:
Screenshot 2025-05-19 134345.png

This one is in the 50% wishlist category, the countdown matches the one on the promo page:
Screenshot 2025-05-19 134333.png

This one from the same vendor above isn't:
Screenshot 2025-05-19 134316.png

and this one, whilst showing 50%, I guess is in another promo as indicated by the countdown...

Slightly confusing, maybe, but not anywhere as confusing as at Daz where you have to jump through hoops to work out the best deals.

I like Renderosity's ethos, WYSIWYG [EDIT] Oh! and their sales work first time! [/EDIT]

Yes, the fact that Renderosity just shows you the price, no prerequisites, makes it a totally different experience.

If you take the time to populate your Rendo wishlist, whenever there's a major sale, you can just go to your wishlist, filter 'on sale', maybe sort low-to-high, and go to town. You never actually need to look at sale pages.

The one minor issue is that you can filter store pages by coupon eligibility, but you can't filter your wishlist by that.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Daz3D sale seems to be working for me, but it's complicated and evolving.

At the moment, first you have to do deal #3:
  • buy one Epic New Release to get 80% off 3 Artist Store items in the same cart (which gives another 30% off the New Release, too)
Then deal #2:
  • make a new cart. because you now already own an Epic New Release: use coupon to get 5 Arist Store items for 70%, 80% if they're on wishlist
You can spend $4 on outlet store to stack another 20% on top of either of these purchases.

 I don't think I've ever started a day without waking up to some inane Daz Promo ... maybe it's just that yesterday's promo was a case of premature ejaculation.

Regardless, get well soon Daz Team

Yesterday some forum users over there were speculating that maybe the delay on the new sale yesterday was on purpose. The reasoning was that since there's not a single day when sales work smoothly from the beginning, maybe it was a good idea to have them start when the technical support team is on duty. Only speculation, though.

Feels like it. Maybe that glitch where a third of the store could be bought for 60 cents per product pushed them over the edge.

As a european it always felt strange that I was getting like a couple of hours of glitched sales until the Daz store team starts working.
