Well, seems like the reveal is actually going to be Genesis 9:

I am right in the middle of switching to some 8.1 figures, so of course, lol.Well, seems like the reveal is actually going to be Genesis 9:You must be registered to see the links
I wondering what they are going to improve/change. I assume there is huge interest to keep stuff compatible as much as possible, so that everyone buying into Genesis 9 will also have a store full of compatible Genesis 8/8.1 (and even Genesis 3 to an extent) stuff.I am right in the middle of switching to some 8.1 figures, so of course, lol.
I missed the whole 8.1 introduction during my hiatus, but it focused on the eyes, mouth, face expressions, and...for some reason splitting torso into head and body?So I am just guessing that the rig will mostly stay the same, or maybe they'll add bones but not change anything about existing bones. Improving shading again seems kind of unlikely as well. So what could it be?
All this fuss for beachware?Well, seems like the reveal is actually going to be Genesis 9:You must be registered to see the links
maybe (or a kind of wishlist) integrated metamixer and built in metamexer handles in HD, "DForce" musculature and anatomically correct genitalia (they are preparing the store for that) ...I wondering what they are going to improve/change. Kind of hoping its maybe something animation related, or just how morphs and properties are handled to make the whole thing more efficient when lots of morphs are installed.
G8.1 serves as a cross-over point to G9 ... there have been a lot of conversion products moving the legacy stuff forward, this leads me to thing the backward compatibility may be limitedG8.1 didn't seem to last very long if indeed Genesis 9 is now going to be a thing.
That would suck, so I don't want that, but I still believe there is huge economic incentive (people will only keep buying stuff if it works) for them to keep things compatible, so I assume they'll try hard to keep things compatible.this leads me to thing the backward compatibility may be limited
well at some point she will have to show her age, even if she insists on only having 29 candles on her cakejust a little too fugly?
I went thru the whole list as well, lol. A couple things were on my wish list already, so that was cool. Crazy how many texture only sets there are.In any case, thanks for pointing out the $1.99 with freebie if over $25 sale guys! I've picked over most of those items numerous times, but still found a few that still interested me if the price was right.
The beancounter's dream: "everyone refreshes their library" ..."they want people to buy everything again"
Yeah, with a couple of exceptions, texture packs just don't interest me. I have shaders for that in a lot of cases. I'd guess that over 90% of that selection was pose and texture packs.I went thru the whole list as well, lol. A couple things were on my wish list already, so that was cool. Those are already the big spenders, and therefore they'd like them to keep spending. They operate like EA or Ubisoft, keep them playing and keep them buying loot boxes.New idiom is only off putting to those with big libraries
That would be crazy, it is completely opposite of what they are doing now. A subscription means people would stop being lured into their store sales maze. Which is the primary way these guys make money.Man, someone on the DAZ forums suggested DAZ going to a subscription format-which sounds both crazy and plausible.
