Hope the person, or the concept?True ... but it's still a sad thing for Supporters ... We all know how Hope was, always there and now not enough.
TLDR. It's on hold. Game will be back.

That's ok. I'm immortal. Stop being rude, you can do better.TLDR: I'm here since 6 year and don't care how the site works and its rules.
The version on steam is "season 1". So it is unfinished as a franchise/story.Is the version released on Steam also an unfinished version?
Ah, I get it.The version on steam is "season 1". So it is unfinished as a franchise/story.
Game is on hold since it's release. I expect it to finish around the time when we colonise the moon.TLDR: I'm here since 6 year and don't care how the site works and its rules.
Hope dies last. I will remain faithful and waitI respect that he's paused patreons in this time off, many similar devs would just post an 'update' each month as they continue to collect cash. Hope we see Hope inspired when/if he comes back.
... I don't mean to be a dick, but in this context how are the faithful and faithless varieties of waiting different?Hope dies last. I will remain faithful and wait
Faithful waiting is more positive. They believe they will get something at the end of their wait.... I don't mean to be a dick, but in this context how are faithful and faithless waiting different?
I think I'll go with faithless. Then his inevitable glorious return will come as a pleasant surprise. I'll have to repent of course, but he strikes me as the kind of guy who'd forgive a wayward soul.Faithful waiting is more positive. They believe they will get something at the end of their wait.
Faithless waiting is the opposite.
But your point is sound, both still have to wait. It's just how they do it that makes a difference.
He was pretty much forced to do it. The supporters were getting quite annoyed, rightfully so since they were being strung on for so long with false promises and ridiculous excuses as to why there is no updates. Hopes is in my opinion one of the "bad devs". His heart is not in it anymore and he just sat there doing nothing and watched the money pile in every month.I respect that he's paused patreons in this time off, many similar devs would just post an 'update' each month as they continue to collect cash. i agree with you other than the "money pile" part. i dont think hopes get that much from monthly patreon. and thats also why i wonder what happen to the steam sales of the game. cuz 1 year and a half ago i thought he's gonna go full timeHe was pretty much forced to do it. His subscriber numbers definitely diminished in recent times because people were getting fed up(rightfully so). now he has 330 subscribers that still probably yields him a nice chunk of change. A year ago he was likely making a very very nice amount each month. When he launched the game the updates were quite frequent with a nice amount of content being added. Like 4 to 5 updates a year. Then suddenly he was only able to make 1 a year with a laughably small amount of content added each time. I really liked this game because it had a great story and visuals. But at some point Hopes just decided that this is something he doesen't want to put any decent effort in anymore and just gave up and collected cash each monthi agree with you other than the "money pile" part. i dont think hopes get that much from monthly patreon. and thats also why i wonder what happen to the steam sales of the game. cuz 1 year and a half ago i thought he's gonna go full time
