Oh, well and if the dev didn't abadonded the game? Only this is marked as abadonded, according to the rules of the zone?I really wish all developers could understand this: if you abandon the development of your game, at least release the script out of respect for the audience that has supported you for years. Or, as a last resort, sell it to someone who is willing to continue working on it.
Oh, sorry, I didn’t know the game wasn’t abandoned. When was the last update released?marked as abadonded, according to the rules of the zone
I know when the last update came out; it was irony. The Abandoned tag on this site is only relevant to this site's rules (See section 3. Prefixes).
It has no automatic relation to the dev continuing work on the game, or not.
Try not to give advice where you have not been asked.FTFY
My post had nothing to do with "when the last update came out".
It simply informed you of why games receive the tag on this site & the fact that this does not bear any automatic relation to work actually continuing.
I even linked you to the rules. Try reading them.
The person who explains the joke, twice...Are you really this ignorant of what you, yourself, wrote?
You didn't know, so I provided you the information, so that you could avoid embarrassing yourself further.
Yet you continued. Well done.![]()
Well, he's got the coder Morbil, who helps him with the game.Is there no developer who could help him?
Unfortunately I am not a programmer.
The game has, as already mentioned, a very good story and good graphics ...
... even if it's just a small cutscene or a mini-story.
At least the community knows that it will be continued (someday)
This game is not abandoned.Oh, sorry, I didn’t know the game wasn’t abandoned.
If this game hasn't been abandoned, why doesn't Hopes tell the sad people who stopped paying him on Patreon, or even show them what he's developing? Maybe he likes to lose money. Or maybe he never really stopped developing the game, but doesn't care enough about the people who pay him, the fans, to publish a dev post once a month.Well, he's got the coder Morbil, who helps him with the game.
But honestly?
I feel having another developer get involved is a bad idea.
Hopes clearly has an definitive idea of what he wants with the game in terms of both storyline direction and the artstyle.
Another dev getting involved I only see clashes of different ideas/styles etc (and no doubt that additional dev would likely not be content with "just helping.")
Would be a totally different scenario is Hopes developed DeLuca with another dev right from the beginning.
But that isn't the case.
Hopes developed season 1 on his own (with some help from Morbil).
This game is not abandoned.
I DM with the dev sometimes on discord, and he has stated he's still developing the game and we've talked a bit about some stuff that will happen (you can check those in some of my past posts of this thread).
Or, maybe he prefers to actually work on developing the next part, instead of providing posts talking about his progress?Maybe he likes to lose money. Or maybe he never really stopped developing the game, but doesn't care enough about the people who pay him, the fans, to publish a dev post once a month.
I really wish all commenters could understand this: if F95 applies the "Abandoned" label, it doesn't mean the game is actually abandoned.I really wish all developers could understand this: if you abandon the development of your game, at least release the script out of respect for the audience that has supported you for years. "Pirate site labels other people's games as Abandoned. Film at 11."I really wish all commenters could understand this: if F95 applies the "Abandoned" label, it doesn't mean the game is actually abandoned.
If anyone believes what this gentleman says, I have an Eiffel Tower for sale very cheaply. Contact me!Or, maybe he prefers to actually work on developing the next part, instead of providing posts talking about his progress?
The post might only take 5 minutes, but the interruption to progress could easily amount to more than an hour.
You know, actually work towards delivering some progress, rather than taking needless time out to talk about it?
Show, don't tell.
It might not be the best business model for these games, but it will presumably produce something more quickly without the interruption.
Maybe that's why he doesn't post much about what he's done.
Hopes' reply (below) while not exactly the same, was fairly close to what you said.Or, maybe he prefers to actually work on developing the next part, instead of providing posts talking about his progress?

I get the impression that facts & truth are not what these people are actually looking for, mate.Hopes' reply (below) while not exactly the same, was fairly close to what you said.
I played a long time ago by now, like more than a year ago, but i remember vaguely there was a specific stealth check i could only pass when i got a secret item from the nun job i think? I'm pretty sure to get that item you have to literally fail a check or something, a pink pants or something like thatIt's possible to pass the second stealth check in "What is truly weak is truly strong"?
The Holy Pants are necessary, but he'll also need full stats from the best gear available. Lock Glasses from Nimble Fingers, etc.I played a long time ago by now, like more than a year ago, but i remember vaguely there was a specific stealth check i could only pass when i got a secret item from the nun job i think? Okay, just looked it up, the item i mentioned is the Holy Pants on the " The Delivery Boy " contract, on there's a guide on how to get it here https://f95zone.to/threads/the-deluca-family-season-1-hopesgaming.15459/post-5526957, it's the walkthrough link in the main page, now, if that actually has any kind of stealth stat i don't remember, i think i needed to use it for a otherwise unpassable check at the time thoIt's possible to pass the second stealth check in "What is truly weak is truly strong"?
