It's not exactly a mistake, it's a "security measure", we could say.

When a game goes a certain amount of time without updates, it gets this "abandoned" mark, but as soon as it receives new updates, this mark is removed.

yea quiet a loooong time without any update at all ... only very few occasions would hinder a dev to work on his little baby for more than a full year ...

How many vn have gotten the abandoned tag only to release a update some time later the only complain people should have with this dev is lack of communication

So if i understand well, the dev is going trough a difficult moment, probably with his marriage if i understand well and if he recover (which i hope even if he didn't continue the game), maybe he will continue the game. So it's more of a pause than a abandoned but sometime a pause can lead to abandoned.

Either way, the development of the game was really slow these last months. (i'm following this project since at least 6 years ). I'm kinda sad that the game is in this state but i'm not the one who is going trough hard stuff.

I'm gonna see how it develop and gonna come in a few month, hoping for the best : )

PS: for the hot headed here, take a bit of stoicism, it help. Meaning screaming and complaining won't make the dev coming back, it just making you unhappy and potentially making other annoyed. Learn to accept what you can't control (like the dev won't coming back now depending of you writing stuff here) and take responsibility for what you can control (like accepting the harsh reality, focusing on something else and coming back later, trying to manage your emotions). Hope it doesn't sound too harsh, because it's not the point.

Jesus dude, I don't mean any offense in saying this but if you don't know exactly what's happened with proof, please stop jumping to conclusions cause you're waaaaaaaaaay off.

I am in touch with the dev on discord every now and then & yesterday he told me on discord DM that him and his wife enjoyed a 3 days holiday at a Summerhouse (he just got back the day before).
Plus, he's told me before that his wife already knows he's a developer for adult visual novel games (even before getting married) and she supports him all the way.

Personal issues dev has stated before has got nothing to do with his marriage.

At risk at passing as dumb, i apologize and recognize my mistake. Because i didn't know much i should have refrained to jump to conclusion. But to be fair, i didn't think it could cause a problem, it was just hypothetical but i now acknowledge the problem.

At this point, it doesn't even matter even if he decides to completely cutoff with us. After all the abandoned tag will not be lifted unless there is any release. It wouldn't change much if he shares any progress update or not, half of the people already don't have much hope left. So dude got infinite amount of time and will come one day with the release. BOOM! marking his legendary comeback of the dead game.
And this is why I would rather have faith in him. He can easily choose to shut everyone off, yet we are getting something from JJJ84 every now and then. We just need to be patient. In the meantime, try some other games, this a forum for these stuff after all.

Exactly, it doesn't cost much to have a bit of hope and coming here to see if something happen or not (i mean a bit, if you hope too much you can get deception if your hope isn't related to something plausible ).
They are plenty of other good game here, and they are a lot of people who can answer to your question to guide you if one game is for your liking or not.

Really glad to know there is still a chance.

Hope Hopes can overcome his problems. He has made a beautiful, very fun, action packed, interactive Adult game which is clearly very hard to achieve when I see others on this site fail at that very often.

i think he's still making the game because the guy is aware enough to make a patreon post **just right after** f95 put abandoned tag and ppl are posting a lot about abandonment

i really like the game, top 3 for me. so i hope it's still gonna continue.

what i was and still is wondering is how good or bad the steam sales was

It happens with lot of AVN games now a days. Dev goes AFK for a year or so and boom they again reappear with a message... sorry for the radio silence as I have been going through alot lately. But now I am back.. And then they rush the ending. I hope this isn't the case with this game because the plot and world building is probably one of the best.
