Didn't really have much to say anything new about the game's development, so didn't really frequent the thread as much (though it's not like I spent tons of time in other games' threads either) hence didn't notice you mentioning me until much later.

And to answer your question, yes. You are correct in saying Cordia saying that.
It's actually from MC's hidden video/audio recording of Cordia's office (Hidden Recording 6 to be exact), which happens after main event "Can I have this?" (MC capturing Eiza event, which kicks off the Ombra mission afterwards)

Season 2 is going to kick it up a notch! After the explosive events at the end of Season 1, there will be an emergency meeting between the Big Five families. We'll get to witness not only the gathering of the dons but also the crucial younger members of the various families.

In the preview image, you can see Fawkes standing alongside Erico's younger brother, the Don of the Bonanzo Family. This meeting will also feature other prominent newcomers, including Siobhan, for those who remember her!

Throughout the new season, you can expect to see plenty of style changes. Luna is sporting a new outfit in the scene, and gradually, the rest of the characters will undergo transformations too.

I'm eagerly looking forward to sharing all the exciting new adventures we have in store for Season 2, and personally, I can't wait for the dream of releasing on Steam to come true!

YES I know if I dont like it then dont play it or donate. I really dont understand how he operates like this though. Has anyone had any information since his last post about how he hasnt been working on the game? I tried to message him before I quit donating and nothing. How hard is a monthly paragraph or preview? I think it would take a mass donating drop for him to acknowledge anything.

i am not sure if you are keeping up with the thread but:

it took him only 4 days to awaken from a 3 month slumber after it got the abandoned tag. surely it's just a coincidence right? it is also worth to mention there hasn't been any new content since v0.09.5 (567 days).

He has stated that he has been having some personal issues.
Now people will be split into several camps (possibly into but not just limited to below 3) regarding that;

Camp 1: You are understanding of what he may or may not be going through and is in a "Let's just wait and see" mode in terms of this game.

Camp 2: Don't like how Hopes is handling things, but will not drop the game despite really disappointed

Camp 3: More excuses from Hopes. Totally lost faith in him, never gonna trust him again etc etc


Now, I'm in Camp 1, but it's everyone's right to have their own view/opinion on Hopes.
Couple of years back, I perhaps would have gotten in arguments with others for god knows how long, but I don't have the energy to do that anymore.

god, if it weren't for you, we wouldn't get any information at all. Even your vague hints are enough to keep the last hope alive.

I see myself in the mix between Camp 1-3 (if you want, Camp 4 lol). This story is just too good to be given up. So this thread will stay on my watchlist in the hope that YOU will share the rare information here with us from time to time.

Maybe I misunderstood. I thought season 1 was complete, and season 2 was going to be a whole new game. So why mark this one abandoned?

Because it's not a whole new game.
It's one continuous story (with different arcs in each season I suppose); Season 2 will basically continue the story where Season 1 left off, with the cliffhanger ending.

It will have the same MC (default name Hope), with same main LIs (Luna, Gracie, Isabel, Cordia) as season 1, and same applies to Season 3 (which will be the final season).
Think of it like a multiple seasons running TV show, each season having same (or almost same) main cast.



As for why it's marked abandoned, well it's something which is just exclusive to this site only.

Basically people who are screaming saying "It's abandoned" are folks who are clueless (and when I say this, I don't mean any offense to those people) about how the Abandoned tags work in this site.

The comparison of "two Seasons" of a show could just as easily be seen as two movies in a series.

The Two Towers picks up where Fellowship of the Ring leaves off, has all the same characters and same plot points, but it's still two distinct movies.

Even if we stick the TV series analogy, one Season gets it's own distinct DVD release from the previous season. lol

I guess it's moot. As long as the story eventually gets a proper finish i'll be happy.

I'll probably be a grandpa, but a happy grandpa.

Im in all three camps Its easily possible to believe all that at the same time.

And it would be a miracle if hopes would be not aware about how he fucked up the communication. But lets be honest, the communication is bad because no development is/was happening. And as long Hopes didnt showed you contend he produced he could literally tell you anything to save his face and hope to create new content faster now to not make it too obvious.

By Hopes' explanation in his Patreon & his DM to me, he had things which really impacted him IRL & his mental health & had to take total break from internet and social media overall.
Now, I'm not here to argue with anyone that the way he went about it was the best (it really wasn't, there's no sugarcoating it).
But I'm also not gonna be wearing that spectacles of suspicion of when he started or not working on the game.

All that would be literally conjecture and is just pointless even giving it a thought.

Having said that, while I won't say anything about "communication was bad because no development was happening", I can say with certainty you are incorrect with "communication is bad because no development is happening"
Part of that answer is addressed in the next quoted part further down, but the other part of the answer?
He's aware of the state f95zone thread is in (I mean, the state of the thread was a literal dumpster fire when this site gave it an abandoned tag, with trolls coming out of woodwork lol).

So he's just gonna lay low until people cool their heads (and given the state the thread is still in, I'd say it's for the best).
It's a conscious decision, not because there's no development.

He did show me snippets of what he has been working on (I thought it was kinda implied when I said "am aware of certain things which I will not disclose" I guess not ).

And before you or anyone say "I won't believe you until you show proof" etc etc, no I won't be showing what he showed me here.
New content sneak peeks that I showed here before, all were done after getting permission from Hopes.
He requested to me this time to not reveal here any sneak peeks he may show me in our DMs, & of course I'm not gonna break that trust.
If that makes people think "Oh this dude isn't showing actual proof to back it up" with a scoff then it is what it is.
Nothing will change my mind about this.
