I'm a bit confused about the "Abandoned" tag. As I understood it, the development was paused, not abandoned? Or did I missunderstand? I haven't played it yet but it's high on my list.

Hopes went radio silent for 3 months, so game got the tag.
The tag has no RL relevance towards whether or not a dev is still working on the game. It is applied on this site when a game\dev breaches this site's rules.
Check the rules for full info, specifically Section 3.

Would be nice, but AFAIK he hasn't posted any for his Patrons, so not sure how anyone here could get them.

Yes, they are, but Wilfred is a sociopath, and doesn't necessarily see that much of a difference. Also, in the Family, disobeying a direct order, just once, is grounds for terminations (and I don't mean getting fired as much as getting fired at). So really, not much different at all.

With regards to them "not being much different at all", you seem to be conflating the punishment with the crime.
Disobeying Cordia's orders & getting killed for it, does not make it remotely the same crime as having her daughter shot.
Just because both equal death as punishment, does not mean that they are similar crimes, in any way.
Death can take seconds, or months. It can be relatively painless, or exceedingly painful.
Wilfred is a very smart man, not a suicidal fool.

We know that he wants Gracie involved in the Family business, because he recognises her talent & potential.
With her Mother already being wary of allowing her to be involved, it would be pretty short-sighted of him to have Gracie shot & most likely make Cordia withdraw her, for her own protection. Especially after her being such a success on the mission that she sneaked onto.
Gracie's performance on that mission has enabled Cordia to see her in a different light, which is precisely what Wilfred wants for her.
If Wilfred had her shot, that new light could very quickly & easily be extinguished.
His own action would be extremely likely to go against his own objective of getting her more involved.

As I previously said, it's a far more desperate move than his position requires.
She has already been on a major mission & was the primary reason for the mission's success.
So he doesn't have much to do, in order to achieve his objective of having her involved. She's almost involved already.
Having Gracie shot would be more likely to make Cordia refuse to have her involved again.
So he wouldn't gain anything by doing it.
Which makes it highly improbable that he did.

Also, as c3p0 said, it only takes one stray bullet & she dies. That would completely destroy his plan to have her more involved.
I just can't see it. It's far too counterproductive.

As you say, we'll have to wait & see.

Presumably you're talking about the Patreon post from 15th Nov 2024, as Hopes hasn't posted on this forum since May last year.
Wonder why he doesn't frequent this place anymore?

If you're hoping for more content, perhaps posting something encouraging towards him would help a little more than calling it pathetic?

If he would show a little more affection towards the people who support him, maybe he would also receive a little more affection, right?
I don't think it costs much to write a small note from time to time and even more so to the people who support you with their money (including me by the way) you talk as if he were doing some charity work and we owe him devotion.

When you're a Patron he owes you fuck all.
If you choose to support him, it does not guarantee anything. You can simply choose to no longer support him, if you don't like the rate at which he communicates or delivers.
Other people are not responsible for your choices, you are.

But coming here & slagging him off, when the game has already had extensive delays, is hardly likely to inspire him to provide more.

No, I speak as someone who supports a person on Patreon and only asks for a little education to know something from time to time. I don't require him to update the game every "x" time.

If you don't like the lack of communication, or slow time for the update, stop supporting him.
It's your choice. If you choose to continue supporting a game where you are not happy with the dev's delivery, or communication, it's your own fault.
It's not fucking rocket science.

Its very fine to be disappointed with the development, you can be disappointed and still want a project to succeed (and therefore hang around). The story/characters are just really great but everything else about the development of this avn sucks ass at the moment.

It's not rocket science, so I don't understand your difficulty in following simple rationale.

No-one asked you to respond to me, when I pointed out that the previous guy slagging the dev off, calling him names, is not likely to provide the update people are hoping for any more quickly.
In fact, quite the opposite.

"Discuss" is a funny way to call it. And you told the other poster in different words to stop crying and shut up nonstop, as it seems like you got very defensive about the lack of development.

Telling people to stop being an idiot is not really restricting their freedom of speech, is more like a hint but i concluded already that all of this is lost with you.
