I appreciate that the Dev doesn't want to provide deadlines and thereby give us false hope if something doesn't go right, but the anticipation is killing me! But all of the quality games make us wait several months at a time between releases - this one, Being a DIK, Four Elements Trainer, etc.
Lulu's story rattled me a bit... guess I need some time to think. maybe some sleep or coco will help

You can see the per-requisites for progressing in the story in one of the info screens
I don't think besides ranking up and doing main missions you actually have to do any of the side missions, but don't quote me on that
