It depends on how Hopes created the rank system. Traditionally, he would be a caporegime, but those are the guys that like the rollerskater chick or the only balds dude, and the serpents seems above them. They are probably something above that, yet under the underboss, or separate, like the consigliere. Luna seems to have some sort of special role as well, since she's probably on a caporegime level, but doesn't seem to have her own team unlike them.
Then my line of thinking was correct and similar to yours. Now I'll just have to figure out the rest of the story the same way

I was thinking the 3 of them would later become serpents, but then who would be the fourth? Cordia was talking about the next generation, maybe she plans it being her daughters, the MC, and maybe that assassin girl. When Antonio becomes don. Then again maybe Antonio ends up getting whacked, I like him as a character and hope the MC gets to know him better and we can have a bromance going on but I don't know how that would play out with his wife being a route.
