Since it's a few lines added, I would have a solution, decompiled the apk of the game, modified script.rpy and recompiled the apk. Google and xda is ur friend for that.
PS: Even the sdk renpy can do it if you get the files for the android keys of the game (unless hopesgaming has already coded it).

I thought this game/VN was dead.
It's been 6 months since the last real update (and the patreon is set to monthly payment...) and the change-log (if you can even class that as a change-log) says that the update is purely focused on a single character. That's just disappointing.
There isn't any real hint as to how much content there is (i.e. how many new renders, animations, estimated length of time to get through the new content, etc.).
In my (and I'm sure most people's) opinion, any audio/voice acting/sound effects in these types of VN's/games are irrelevant, as it all just gets muted from the outset and is thus a waste of time/focus/money/etc. that could be better applied elsewhere (but if the dev is adamant about adding those kind of things, then I would suggest that it would make more sense to do so in the polishing stage when the VN/game is complete/close to completion - the equivalent of post-production editing).
The reason I find these things frustrating is that I do vaguely recall enjoying this VN.

Apparently you have not bothered use the search function or spend some time reading through some of the pages... So here's the short version:
HopesGaming has been busy, which is why we just went through the great depression that is 6 months without update.
He's already apologized for it, and promised to do better like a couple of hundreds times. Next update will probably not take as long.
The majority of the community has already forgiven him and decided to wait and see.
Everyone else who complained too much was roasted like meat on an open fire.
Your suggestions had been made and received like a couple of dozens times already. If you'd bothered to search or read, you'd know that.

I have made several comments and patreon posts about the situation regarding the time of the updates.
I don't know why it's a disappointment to focus on a character that hasn't gotten content for a while.
I am not a fan of render amounts. You don't get any real value out of it. Some games can have 1000's of renders but those mostly consist of renders from animations or several hundred of the same renders just with spot rendering (changing expressions etc.) Too many factors that play into it that make no sense for it.
Please don't do that. I hate (and I'm sure most people as well) when people try to make their own opinion as fact and using other people to validate their opinion without any evidence of such.
But to answer, HELL NAW! Music is a big thing in the game. Reading the comments and reviews clearly shows you are wrong about most people muting the game. The whole game is built around the music. You don't watch a movie and then turn it all down and just watch with subtitles. You only do that for porn movies. And if you think this is a porn game. Then music or no music- you'll be disappointed.
About your last question;

Nothing wrong with a bit of complaining. When devs deserve a complain they should be complained towards.
But that requires for the complainer to at least use the search function a bit and read about the situation before writing something.

I am so bad at making release dates that I wouldn't dare to make one just a few days after this release, hehe.
Once the game update is done and sent to the beta testers, first then I think I make a release date.
But I can say that I won't allow it to take as much time as this one took. So no, won't be near those dreadful 6 months.

Just promise 5 months, it's still shorter than 6, and when you're able to release it much faster, people will only be overjoyed
