Why don't you say what's going on then? Not everyone has the time to check what is going on with every porn game out there. We check what is released and when it is released and when we see that something has not been updated in years it's natural to be sceptic.

Have they stopped the patreon payments during all that time or can we assume all of these things are just excuses to get the supporters money?Those people tend to be generally not active in the threads, and only come to complain when the update drops with the whole "It's milking" "I'm glad I left" "Where's the update dev" blahblah schtick.
Funny thing is, more often than not they tend to be the first ones to be in line to grab the update.
Then they go silent again, ready to come back and drop another complaint with next update while grabbing it; rinse and repeat the endless cycle of hypocrisy.
Dev is a solo dev who previously had a primary job (restaurant iirc) and was only doing this as a hobby. The game went through a major gameplay overhaul (for v0.7) which took quite a while to implement.
Also, recently him and his girlfriend got engaged, so the whole wedding preparations as well as moving in to their own home was a thing.
So a lot of irl stuff happened.
Though good thing is, with Season 1 out on Steam now (well been out a while), he's stated he's going at this dev work for this game as full-time job and has begun working on Season 2.
So expect possible statements and plans from HopesGaming soon-ish.
As for how much of content increase it has been, that would totally be dependent on where you were the last time you played it.
If it was before the rework (v0.07), I'd say you have quite a large chunk of content to play through.
But even if it was post-v0.07, I'd still say there would still be quite a decent amount to play, especially if you are playing Full-Experience mode.

You had the time to write the post, so why not used the time to look at the OP?
It is white on gray what Season 1 Steam Release added over the latest version. What you make about this is up to you. What I find it annoying is when those people go into a thread and ask questions they themself could answer in the same time as the write their post.
And no, you can't ignore them cause either someone new will ask the same question (who isn't on the list - and I don't like the list) or the simple ask again and again until someone gives them the answer.
Also, after I read your username again: Glad you see you're back. Didn't you wanted to never come back to this thread?

I yet to play it cause im waiting for S2 but I think one could argue the codex could count technically since it's lore / info dumps but yeah no new main story

Thats one of the things that confused me, i was under the impression season 2 was well into development. Then this dropped and there is so little involved in it from the looks of it. Im just hoping that if its jusr the codex, then hopefully hopes gaming was just messing with this feature hear and there on the side and hasnt actually been spending all this time on it.

So, yes. Season 2 is develop since and most likely before Season 1 was finally released on Steam (And Patreon on the 28th February 2024). Yet, it wasn't leaked until the 17th May 2024 here on the zone. So, no, you won't have any of the content that has been developed (I assume) between the 28th February and 17th May, because it is still the same version/release.

I playtested VN mode of the game (speedran it) before Hopes released it on Steam, and it worked just fine other than one bug which Hopes quahsed back then (which wasn't what you're mentioning).
Loaded your uploaded saves to my pc, and they both work 100% fine on my end with no issues.
Since you seem to be using a mod, I'd assume the issue is with the mod you're using, given that with the raw game everything works fine.
Wet Dreams don't have any relevance to the story and are only renders.
In fact, Hopes has said before (to me) that it might be possible they may be removed altogether for season 2 cause they don't really serve that much of a purpose. That was a while ago, and not sure what his thoughts on it now though.
As for recordings, well I guess I can ask Hopes later about it whether he's willing to add it in VN mode in the future or not.
But players who go through the game in VN mode should bear in mind that by not choosing Full Experience, or even Just Story, there are certain features of the game they're likely to be missing out.
Recording is one of them, another one is Codex.

With Patreon, yes there's the monthly Patreon subscription payments, but it's not like the Patrons were forced to continue supporting Hopes. That's not how Patron works.
The onus is on the Patreon subscriber him/herself on whether to continue supporting Hopes or unsubscribe and support another dev.

Uh, if you were under that impression that I'm assuming you haven't really checked this thread for a good long while.
Hopes, myself and people who are even decently active in the thread have been saying there will be no new story content with the steam release and it will just feature the VN mode, Codex and the Gallery.
I think I said it at least several times leading up to the Steam release lol.
And there were a lot of IRL things going on with Hopes which took him away from the much of the game's development;
Season 1 got released on Steam on February, and he really wasn't able to do any development for some time due to his wedding planning, and only recently the dust kinda settled.
So people really should be giving him the benefit of the doubt here.
As for how much into development is season 2; well, who knows?
But my guess is given how Hopes has been really busy with IRL stuff as well as preparing the game's season 1 for steam, it would be more plausible to think Season 2 is still kinda early in development.
