It's optional as in can be avoided. And these darker stuff don't happen in the mainline story anyway.

Haven't tried the game yet, was checking the thread to see if it was worth it or not, but this caught my attention.
If you want to involve your player base, then make polls for who they want the next update to feature more (like which LI will get more attention in the next update), or for a clothing choice, or just simple custom renders.
But don't let them decide what content/fetishes will be featured in your game. That should 100% be up to you. You want to make content you enjoy, not what others want you to make.
That's a red flag. That is not a good thing. You should never make your game based on what players ask for. Set your own tags/fetishes and decide for yourself what will be in the game. Don't ever let players decide what your game should have, or you doom your game before it even begins.

That's what I'm planning to do though. And if the poll content doesn't suit the mainline story, then it can just be added in an alternate event.

I agree with this statement, don't let the playerbase choose in which direction the game goes. Many devs tried to go this way, only a very small amount was able to deliever a product, that could keep the players interested. All others have failed and the games got abandoned or degraded to memes. Also, contents that include NTR/sharing/swinging will drive not a really small amount of harem fans away. It doesn't matter if it's side content or mainline. Yes, there are still harem fans, that can overlook it, as long as it's avoidable (not skipable). In the end, the most important things, you should keep in mind, are, that you develope a game, that you're proud of in the end, and that you take critic as a tool to improve your game and story. Don't let people demotivate you, even if they sound harsh. And ignore haters.

I understand your point. I won't alter the mainline story just to include the minority's wishes.
That's why I'm adding alternate events.
The whole point of the these thing is just to spice things up a little for people like me who don't mind other tags. They serve no purpose other than a re-telling the story with a twist and a quick fap.

Like the game so far and will definitely be following the game and joining the Discord for sure. Polls to decide additional content isn't that foreign in some of these games so not sure why some people think the Dev will let the players run the story line honestly lol.
Maybe being a woman alters my opinion on the MC, but definitely enjoy a game where there is a male pro thats not a giant brute with an unrealistic sized penis. Good luck in future updates, look forward to what you have planned

I'm also curious about the NTR stuff. It's varies wildly between people what it actually is.
Since you say the mainstory is vanilla I'm assuming you mean NTR in the sense that if you don't follow a potential LI story path they'll just end up in a relationship with someone else? Or are we talking full on cheating where the LI gets stolen or blackmailed in to doing it? Cause that won't fly for a ton of people as you can already probably tell, even if it's totally avoidable it turns a lot of people off of even playing the game.
A LI just falling for someone else cause you don't go down her path I can understand, but some people actually consider that NTR for some reason.

It reminds me some Slice of Life animes. And I'm glad that boobs are "normal", there is too much massive boobs in AVN I can't take them seriously. Here they seems like real student at least in that aspect (because there is weird hair colour haha)
I'm not the biggest fan of sandbox though.
I don't like it either but if it's almost nonexistent.. And we are not even there yet.
