yeah im hoping that remains optional I have faith this dev will keep it that way , from what ive seen so far. I only like playing cheating paths when it's optional just to see the content or consequence one time and that's it otherwise I hate cheating paths especially if it's forced. Nothing hot or erotic about it like there is about sharing.

I prefer Netorare over sharing as do many others, so I guess it is a matter of taste. I’ve pondered people’s visceral reaction to Netorare. It seems to elicit strong emotions. The only thing I can think of is that viewers identify MC as themselves. I don’t. I view it as a story detached from my life. Like a third party voyeur. Regardless, the Dev will follow his vision. I do like when options are given and no one is forced. That is the smart way to go as a Dev.

yeah I never identify as a MC either, but like I said I don't mind it if it's a choice and ill play a cheating path once on any game to see the content. It really comes down to the LI, and how attached you get the LI and the context of the relationship if I like it or hate it if im being honest. Here I like their dynamic alot so I think Id hate it if it was forced. But I usually dislike cheating paths because I don't want the possibility of a relationship between a LI end if you end up liking them as a couple at least when it's forced. I was probably a bit harsh on my other post in saying I hate cheating paths and they are never hot because they can be if done right but 99% of the time so far ive disliked them. I've only see one that ive liked, because you knew it wasn't serious and the context of the scene did make it a bit erotic.
TLDR for me it boils down to
- I don't like the idea of possibility breaking up couple in a game if forced, if I like their relationship
- How much I like said LI or if you connect to said LI
- is it forced or not

For me its because its almost as badly written as harem games.
There is never any nuance to these stories.
There are plenty of couples in real life where one cheats but they talk and work things out.
How often do you see that in games with netorare?
And yes, I do like to immerse myself in these games.
Otherwise, I would go watch a movie or something and I hate movies.

Yes I agree... But it also helps when there are good graphics to go along with a good story. Since I've find out about these visual novels I've definitely been dabbling a whole lot less with the porn. These allow you to become immersed in the story and becomes more personal IMO
