That's too pessimistic. You may start hoping to get the update during next hour. Why not? Who wouldn't be glad to get it asap? ^_^
But for real - not earlier than from late January i bet it would be possible to enjoy quite predictable rain of promising announces about "unpredictable delays" which will require just a few more days to finish just last 10%, and it really will be finished pretty soon, on the Scales of History - somewhere in the middle of March 2025, when everybody would start to loose hope, call it abandoned, make nervous jokes about neverending finishing of update, forgetting about this game existence already.
I don't want it to happen that way. But looking back on previous experience pretty much chances it will be about so, if nothing have changed in development powers and organization, and we didn't ever read anything about that. So it going to be just as usual then.

so that would mean would have to only play through a browser right . if that is the only version available if he does it. I would hate it since that would mean id have to restart my saves probably everytime. I don't mind paying for it at a lower tier as I love this game but not this

He has an import feature set up. You would just have to import the saves.

He plans on still releasing the update like normal after a while from what I understand.

ah okay guess then it would be more or less , how much it will cost on itch before it gets released like normal then cause I love this game one of the few I can't get enough of or wait for releases. So depending on the price id probably do itch just for this game instead of waiting.

It's really not. Piracy will happen regardless. You can waste time trying to fight it or you can just focus on your game.

It wasn't 2 days for 0.6 to get leaked. It was at least a week from what I remember, which isn't too bad for AVN's these days tbh. He is going to end up losing more people trying to fight it. He gained a load more subs with the last update, many including myself went and subbed after downloading it here as I enjoyed it and wanted to support.

nah the link was up right away 2-3 days but I think I heard it did get removed removed or something , I saw it a good while before it was on the front page but fought the urge to not download it. I forget but yeah it took longer for it to get posted to the front page.

Yep, and then someone else leaked again just because people were defending the dev.

And where did that get everyone? In this situation where Bobby is considering a web version of the next update.
