So the East block subs are still rising on the devs patreon - Even with the game getting leaked. Almost every single game gets leaked here anyway. Its only how long it takes, not if. Yet the dev asks patrons if they want to be screwed over by only doing streaming releases... And around half agree lol. Talk about simps! There's also ways to rip the web version anyway.

The VN itself, to me has really gone downhill. The relationship stuff while never great, started quite promising, now its cliche and forgettable. Even a character gets sidelined after more lies from the dev, of them being promised to be in many scenes. Tease and lewd scenes went backwards and no longer came from normal situations. After one of the best starts to a VN I've ever seen, what a shame to see it fall off.

I've been saying this dev has been doing some manipulating things along with lying about plenty of stuff for a while. His ethics and morals change on a dime. One time he's courteous and giving, the next hes a snake in the grass with no hesitation in screwing people over. I've seen this directly from my interactions with him and other members while seeing what he does on patreon. From the fake virus to the pup virus, ignoring platforms, telling people about his fake fantasy life, month long delays or more after saying a release is basically done. Its just one thing after another with him. Now crippling his patrons and forgotten SS members to try not to have his VN leak straight away.

If it was just a couple things here and there its fine but all the issues are well into double digits with him in only a couple months. He doesn't seem like a dev people should trust. I'm not going to keep being toxic and will stop posting in this thread. I think slowly others will start to come around and see his facade. I hope he changes and starts being honest with everyone

I have seen this before, devs start out really nice and accommodating and then once people start giving on Patreon or where ever the devs behavior starts to change. Slowly at first as to not scare people away from giving but honestly once people start giving the dev pretty much knows they are hooked and not likely to stop giving and so can pretty much make whatever excuses for the delays or the reduction in quality.

I honestly blame both the devs and the community of people donating. STOP DONATING automatically, I have. I only give to projects that have been out for awhile and have consistent quality and releases or just to completed projects that I have played and appreciate. Those that blindly or stupidly donate to people before getting an update that is quality are hurting the community as a whole. Why would a dev push themselves if they are getting paid either way? Why would they care about the project if its just a money maker and they are making money without having to do much with the project?

Its really simple, stop believing lies devs tell. Stop donating when all a dev has are excuses. Stop donating when release after release after release is delayed for bs reasons or the quality of the releases continue to go down hill. Once people use their brains and stop donating to devs that give them very little to donate for we hopefully will get some better devs that actually WORK for the donations.

To create, improve and promote a game, you also need money and a lot of time. We...who download and play on this site do it for free. A BIG THANK YOU TO THOSE WHO GIVE US THIS...(y)(y)...PS...Not all players or fans can support their idols for various reasons.:(
That is very true. Many devs need to be supported to continue and I get that. My post was directed to those who give money and those devs who take money and then do next to nothing with it. I totally see your point though.

Lmao sorry meant another game Idk how tf did this come here
It's an honest mistake. I just checked if you had found your way to the Blurring the Walls-thread, and you did. ;)

As to the subscriber exclusive web-version, and public release some weeks later, I guess that doesn't affect me much either. I do understand the perspective of those who see it as a sign of worse things to come. I don't have much experience with developers doing that sort of thing, but my intuition mirrors some earlier post about the futility of fighting piracy, as opposed to just focusing on making a good game.

I feel bad for him that it gets leaked so quick but I don't think a web version was a good idea tbh.
same here. Like it honestly made me worry about the future of the game tbh and usually I don't have negative feeling like that for games I love.

Dev only posted the poll to test the waters about the web version, which he was thinking may curb the loss of income. He stopped the poll after getting results against it and a few rather heated posts on Discord. I won't play a web based game, and let the Dev know. Personally, I like getting these games and support them when I can - as with this one.

I don't have a bug up my ass about Devs that produce a good game, respond to feedback and generally just want to have a reasonable amount of time to make money before everyone gets it for free. A lot of Devs don't have that issue - there seems to be an understanding ... while others get the shaft. Apparently there is a place for a Dev to select something about 'new content leaked' which someone here suggested that it was leaked, and then taken down but then put right back up! If the site allows that option, then it shouldn't matter that someone doesn't like that it was taken down ... it should be moderated, if there is to be any credibility, IMO.

Discord? I thought he didn't have a discord channel for the game?

The major problem with this type of "donation" payments is the dev is given money but no incentive or motivation to complete his work on the VN any quicker. Imagine at your workplace where you didn't meet your deadline and your work wasn't finished until weeks or even a month later from when its expected. Its a luxury for devs where if it was actually a workplace they'd be fired. In fact they can make up constant excuses and have people believe whatever they say. There are no consequences other than the possibility of losing some subs. Even then if they just take a little longer each update theres no harm done. Even when these players don't realise that the game play time is also shorter. Which again is almost never mentioned on here.

Extremely rare for a dev to make these games while working another job. Over 95% are doing this full time.
All devs earning a living from this, getting tens of thousands or more from their supporters, need to have a deadline for each update. It should be mandatory.
