And the thing is, where does he even go from here? Make two separate paths, one where Kath cheated and one where she didn't? Have her lie and have a relationship built on lies.
At least now we know why Bobby was trying so hard to get us to cheat as Luke in chapter 7, probably so that there could be a "Well I can't be mad since I cheated as well." maybe even fucked her Mom?. The problem is, that doesn't work if you've turned down every cheating opportunity. Unless that bullshit story that Clem told Kath about Luke groping her in the shower is going to count.

I keep thinking about Pat as a character to, because his arc is also tanked.

Along with his desire to fuck Kathryn, he did want to rekindle his relationship with Luke. We see this in the motel scene where his brain is bouncing back and forth, knowing its wrong and will ruin the relationship with Luke forever. Well now that is done anyways. Luke will assume Kathryn cheated and that Pat manipulated her into staying out all night. Luke already doesn't want to meet up with Pat, so now he is even more justified in never seeing him again. And he can call up his mom and sister and say "hey dad tried/did ruin my relationship, so don't talk to him." They even made a point to say his sister looks up to Kathryn, so this whole situation with Pat, cheating or not, is a betrayal to not only Luke but to her as well. And Luke's mom probably wouldn't take too kindly to Kathryn doing all this with Pat either.

Regardless of if Kathryn cheated or not, you can't have scenes going forward with Luke and Pat because it should be on sight for Luke. He is done with his dad after this update. Any scenes with them together going forward would just seem forced and will probably be more of the same like the restaurant scene. If Kathryn keeps pushing for Luke to meet with Pat after this, that will be just awfully stupid and a complete disregard of his wishes. And if she meets with Pat in private to "try and fix the situation" or cheat more, it will only get worse.

Okay, I finished the update, and despite it being very short—no more than half an hour of gameplay—I wish it had been a bit longer, especially since the wait was six months. Still, I’d say it’s the best update ever.

I don’t understand those who complain about the AI scenes; as a first attempt from Bobby, I find them good, and I’m sure he will improve them in upcoming updates.
Don’t forget how the scenes used to be in previous updates — how poor and modest they were.

Bobbyboy48 , don’t pay attention to those losers; you did a great job in this update. AI motion scenes was so good and better than before.
But please, don’t disappear for too long. Release updates every 3 months as you promised, and you’ll see your subscribers count rise as long as they’re assured the updates will keep coming.

If you play the path dance with Pat (optional cheating!) alone - the storyline is ok…

But the storyline dance with Luke is absolute ridiculous and should be deleted as option completely.

Fact is that dance scene shouldn't happen if we don't cheat. He forced the drama on us.

Kat can still choose to cheat on Luke with Pat on the Pure/Loyal as well. Your choices before that literally don't matter.

So, having the option to cheat there, in combination with what was established about her character, makes even less sense knowing that Bobby coded it so it can happen - because it shouldn't be able to happen.

And on the full-corruption path, we should still be given the option to avoid betraying our partner-in-NTS-crime for his sleazy father by staying with him for some forsaken reason.

The massive upsetting is because Kathryn is hardcoded into staying the whole night with Pat - at that moment, her future husband's worst enemy - and that shouldn't be something unavoidable, no matter the path.

But clearly, Bobby felt the game lacked drama, since you know, mobsters and criminal conspiracies weren't enough.

EDIT: And also, yeah, the update featured 0 NTS scenes after half a year of development. This is a game that started off as pure sharing/swinging, so how can you justify that? NTR fans waited with baited breath for Kath to finally cheat, but not like this...

I will say if someone likes cheating that scene is well done but I got nothing yet again. The scene doesn't even make sense on the nts path.

Well, dev told me maybe he will adjust or change this Kathryn issue down the line. Which let's be real, means, NO.
If he was ever going to change it, NOW would be the time.

Not changing this scene, is and will be one of the biggest mistakes ever. The dev made this contrived plot and character assassination of one a great and beloved character

You'd need the patrons to be annoyed for it to change. Are the patrons and discord reacting like here? Because if the answer is no then it will likely not be changed. Few devs are going to care about the reaction on a pirate forum. More to the point if the reaction is positive he has every reason to double down. F95 is basically white noise to most devs.

I don’t know what your problem is with the dance scene; you had the option to cancel it, just as you had the option to refuse Pat’s request to escort Kath for the night out.
I give this chapter a 9 out of 10, and that’s only because it was too short.

Luke was rude to Kathryn. And like I said no NTS stuff. Kathryn shouldn't have stayed with Pat at all unless Luke cheated. Do you honestly think that last scene is even worth it without the cheating? It's toothless.

My perception is that the developer will increasingly focus on the NTR route. This is likely due to it being the path that generates the most money. Now that he hired someone to help, he needs more revenue, and he is opting for the easiest way to earn it, transforming a game that was excellent into an "NTR piece of garbage."

Regarding Kat, in the route where she betrays Luke, I believe she will remain silent, continuing the betrayal behind his back. This is something that, up until one update ago, would have made no sense for her character, but the developer has simply thrown that coherence away.

In the other route, where she did nothing, the situation is also disheartening: I believe Luke won't trust her. He will always suspect she did something, especially when she mentions they slept in the same motel room. The distrust will be intensified by the fact that Luke knows his father desires Kat.

The developer was desperate to give us a reason not to complain about Kat's actions in this update. However, for those who have always remained faithful (to Luke), this makes no sense, just like this entire ridiculous update.

It is seriously disappointing. I don't see how the next update can be good without the changes that so many fans are asking for.

Or maybe, and this is the darkest part, this is exactly what he wants: for their relationship to deteriorate more and more. With Kat thinking Luke betrayed her and Luke thinking she slept with his father, the relationship is likely to end, as she told Pat that she "might come back single from vacation." Why would he include that dialogue if he wasn't thinking of bringing their relationship to an end?

What makes me the most furious is that he thinks he doesn't need to change this now, and intends to make this alteration only late in the game. He must have seen the number of people asking for this fix, and it would not be a big deal to implement it. He is killing his own game and still maintains this decision, even with fans trying to help him undo this mess he created.

NTS turning into NTR is terrible shit.

It's interesting how everyone perceives it. In my opinion, Pat just wanted to have a nice evening, and Luke went ballistic with every single sentence from the very beginning. Luke was aggressive from the start.

The typical father/son unresolved problems.

Every sentence uttered by the other person is taken as a reason to react with accusations.
