I agree with this part of CutieLvr's comment. It does take writing skill to cause such emotions and feedback but that's not the issue. Be skillful yes, be deceptive no. Why put in all the choices up to the "dance night" that let you avoid all the NTR type of behavior then throw it all away for a plot point. Raising emotions IS good writing but this is lazy writing. Bad writing. You sacrifice all the work you've done before to make your title accessible to folks with multiple and different desires. Lazy writing that slams the door in the face of readers like me. Once again this is just one person's perspective.
ironically well you may feel different. But I feel for NTS , NTR and Love path the best choice is to allow Kathryn to go to the dance with Pat alone. ( The choice come up in Ch 7) That way Luke and Path never get into a fight and Kat doesn't choose to stay with Pat and not chase after Luke. You still go to the motel but at least this way getting there doesn't feel as bad to me and you can still say no to NTR / cheating.

Granted but that takes foreknowledge. Without it I definitely pick the "go with" choice as it seems right in line with all of the other "love" choices I'd made up to that point. Leaving your lady alone with Pat seems like it would be throwing someone into shark infested waters. I respect your "kludge" to get a better experience but it is a kludge.

oh I agree I picked the go with option as well as the go alone choice never felt right to me unless I was going for a NTR save which isn't my main path. I only discovered this as I explored every path / choice in most games after my main saver. I just found it quite funny and weird how the choice that I felt would lead to NTR ends up feeling like the best choice . Which means I need to redo my saves at some point sadly :(

Dess you are, in fact, The Curator when it comes to saves. I'm sure if I wanted to unlock the ASCII graphics gallery of a Adult Novel from 1986 you'd probably have a save file to help me out.

The latest update has left us frustrated, and it’s clear that the thread has become abandoned, unlike before when people used to discuss upcoming update content with passion and enthusiasm. Not to mention the long period between updates, which has reached a full six months, despite Bobby promising that updates would be every three months—only to backtrack when he saw how eager you were for the game. In addition, the latest update was short and does not match the length of the development period, which lasted a full six months.

I would say the update left some frustrated. Certainly not all. I personally enjoyed the update (as did many others) and look forward to the next. These threads often times become echo chambers for the dissatisfied. They don't necessarily reflect the views of the majority of fans/players.

I do agree with you on the length of time between updates being too long. Hopefully the next update drops sooner. Bobbyboy said it should. We shall see.

This is the ridiculous truth of it. It was abundantly clear that letting Kathryn go to the dance with Pat alone would be an opening for the start of the NTR path, and by going with her you'd cut that off, or possibly start an NTS path with Pat (although that would take some mental gymnastics from Luke or humiliation from Kathryn to pull off). Yet when it actually came to it, the best option is the exact reverse, because of the convoluted argument and outcome of the argument. It's really poor decision making from the dev.

The easiest/best thing would have been to have a Kathryn choice, during the dance evening, of whether to go home with Luke or stay with Pat. All it would take would be a few additional renders of the couple going home together, you wouldn't even need any/much dialogue as they could just be ignoring each other after the argument. You'd still have the stupid argument on that path, but it would negate the even bigger stupidness of forcing Kathryn choosing to stay with Pat. If you're talking about the drama being required for whatever reason, the argument itself can bring that. That way, you would (mostly) please both parties while still having the doubts and drama available if it does turn out that it's "absolutely vital to the ongoing plot".
