Not entirely sure by what you mean when you say "more comedy".
Comedic elements to a story is fine, just as long as it doesn't detract from the actual story. I probably wouldn't enjoy some satirical comedy story where characters act absurd for the sake of comic relief. It would feel to much like an erotic comic book.
I'm not saying it wouldn't work just that if you are planning to make it a longer story this time you would need to be careful about balancing the comedy aspect with the progression of the story and the characters, unless you want them all to seem like clowns rather than humans. Just my opinion.
Even so, with stories like these it's impossible to not reach a point of absurdity, but it's up to the writer to make the absurd seem less absurd than it actually is. Clever writing helps.
