The photos in that post are VERY helpful. The first time I tried it, I didn't even realize there was a "Launcher.exe" and a "Ricca.exe" in different folders. I saw the logo and the ".exe" and completely missed the actual file name.
Yes, I felt stupid when I figured it out.

I think the game has 2 forced scenes, the rest is avoiable.
I can understand wanting to do a virgin run, but the story is written around the "pure & nice girl faced with a dark reality, where she has to endure much hardshop and stain her hands to triumph".
So yeah, there some quite dark mandatory passage.

I do think it's not too hardcore (comparing to a lot of gore you see in even normal movie game), and the game is really worth it if you can bear it to get through the litle forced scenes.

I'll be honest I'm the same way, I hate that kind of stuff and usually try to avoid it at all costs but even so this game still ended up being my all-time favorite H-game. Fortunately when it comes to forced scenes you can just skip through pretty much all of it without there being any important info being revealed (and even if there is the story isn't too deep, it'll be fine). All you need to know is it happened, everything else that comes after is her journey of recovery and becoming the strongest. A pretty typical hero story, albeit fairly darker but worthwhile given her journey.
I'd say give it a try if you want to enjoy the gameplay and story progression, otherwise if forced stuff isn't your thing then there really isn't any reason to watch the H-scenes. The only consensual parts are lesbian scenes and (in a fucked up way) brainwashing, otherwise just play it like you would a normal game if you enjoy the combat

I'm fairly sure most of these games have totally doable virgin runs. But I never said I wanted to do a virgin run, I just didn't want unavoidable scene with dudes. I might give the game another try at some point in the future. xdd

Basic plot development requires Ricca to overpower her weakness and trauma. If there's no trauma nor weakness, her arc (and consequentially the fairy's arc and her sister's redemption) can't work properly.

Are the gobbo and orc scenes incredibly mean? They are. Is Ricca a character endearing enough that I legit prefer the yuri scenes and can't even find the H scenes particularly attractive in a fucking H game? Yes, but that's me.

The goblin scene got me hooked when I first played this years ago. but I pretty must skipped through the sex part and I've avoided the sex scenes as well. It was mostly the protective instinct and touching nature of the story that caused me to play through it. grimdark but also a dwindling candle light in the darkness with alot of potential.
Maybe I'm a sucker for magical underdog cute girls toughing it out in a cruel world and making it marginally better. It's much better than the edgelord cruel protag anti-hero crap.
