so for anyone who has issues with saving in game 1st check if your game directory is under read-only attribute if so change it from file properties secondly disable any anti-virus program cause apparently mine has been preventing the Foj.exe from performing some process hope I help someone with this issue

There is an ingame map that shows most of the places, press m and it should show up, think it shows a map marker showing where you are supposed to go as well.
