Sorry but my original question was about this game world and what rules did you setup for arcane well and how apply with genetic. You do know that can be setup any way you like its your story after all and can be different from real world. Btw in real life genetics work slightly different then you all said, but it wasn't entirely false as well. Certain genetics traits skip generation and food can influence some modifier but only in excessive amount. I used to eat and drink at least half a liter (more like 1L) of milk a day, but im not very tall. But all my brothers (we call close cousins that in my culture) are taller then me and they didnt even consume half of that.

The nutrition part is of course applied to an entire population. And milk is actually not that great for you. But the reason most people are taller than our ancestor are because of good nutrition: Meat in particular.

Now, as far as the people in the world the VN take place know: Everyone can end-up awakening. But:

-It's rare with two mundane parents.
-Happens somewhat regularely if one parent is a mage.
-If the two parents are mages, above 50% of the kids will be mage.
-Strong mages produce mage children more often.

There is always other factors that the people of the world don't know about.Which I won't explain here, since one of them we will discover later, and other because I don't want to explain everything.

Note that it is for arcane-based magic in the mortal plane. Elemental magic follow another set of "rules". Fae magic is all over the place. Soul powered magic will grant you a visit from what Ereshkigal has in place of a herald: reapers. Rituals also exist, and do not require any magical power, but generally ask for a sacrifice. All of them have different rules, and some can be inherited.

Ah, yes, also Divine magic. That's different. While it's the god, or god-like entity, that provide the juice, the body of the cleric must be capable of handling it. And it has a genetic component, too, even though very few mortals are aware since it's the god that not only decide who becomes a cleric, but also which spell they can use. As such, mortals do not really get how it works.

You know, a thought occurred to me when the subject of fertility and an MC's genes permeating the world populace came up in another thread ...

First is that the MC is adopted royalty and has high magic talent and even more potential than he's shown, will live a long life and pass at least some of that longevity to his children, and is considered attractive both visually, socially and (once someone gets to know him) emotionally.

Second, since the curse severely limits the male births rate, not only will he have a large harem, but likely any male kids he produces will also have large harems of their own.

Lastly, his current harem is already huge. It includes princesses and priestesses, elves and enchantresses, soldiers and saviors, commoners and adventurers, etc. And his prospects appear to potentially include queens, duchesses, bandits, tyrants, djinn, dragons, other exotic races, and maybe even demons.

Basically, even if the curse is lifted in his VERY LONG lifetime, his genes could permeate all living sentient beings before he dies.

Before they went to the temple of Ishtar her hair swapped styles. That is my guess of what they mean.
