I wish there was more about Bella in the game, cause she seemed like she was going to be a bigger part of the story than she actually was...

Agreed, it's very strange that it says there is not going to be a sequel while having such an obvious teaser at the end. Not seeing the reunion with Bella, along with never finding out what actually happened to Elizabeth; I would say that a lack of closure on those story threads is a significant weakness in the plot. Hopefully the 'special chapters' mentioned will cover those things.

I am working on updating the WT to help point out more of the choices that can lead to the bad endings.
As for the Cheat Mod, I will work on letting you be able to see all the endings but I'm not in a rush to get that done.
Keep in mind, I do all this in my spare for for free, I am NOT GETTING PAID to do any of this.

So, I'm reading through this thread (up to around Oct '21) in an attempt to figure out if there is a "good" path without being spoiled.
I see people stating MC either continues BJ's work (Alpha) or becomes his lackey(Beta). Is that the case or can you actually help them by not being a douchebag pimp or BJ's bitch?

Congrats on finishing the game _13_ . It's not something that occurs often around here so I praise you on that. I won't comment fully on the game and give a final impression later as I've only had good ending 8 and bad #2. I'll wait for a mod or detailed walkthrough to see all routes.
If I can have 1 complaint it would be I would've liked more content/story. Being your 1st game I'm not sure if you wanted to do more or just felt this was a good start to your dev career and didn't want to bite off more than you can chew. Anyways thanks for the story and I wish you luck in your future projects.

A few people have commented on the length of the game, or that maybe I got tired of making it, or didn't know how to continue... or some other nonsense. I stated from the very beginning that this game would be 7 chapters. It was only ever intended to be 7 chapters, and that's what it is. Before I made the first chapter of The Fosters, I'd never used Daz or Ren'Py. This game was only ever intended to be a learning experience. I'd like to think that things have improved between chapter 1 and chapter 7, but probably not as much as I'd have liked.
For the new people confused about the point system, check the OP, or the About section in the game for an explanation. I saw someone else try to explain earlier, but the game's system is what you might think of as Alpha and Beta, but a distorted version based on the MC's upbringing.
*sigh* Again, regardless of the deal made with Big John in chapter 3, you will never be forced to "work for" anyone. In fact, the MC gets so caught up in what's happening around him, he usually forgets that there are cameras and a website. Even on Alpha paths, his concern isn't about trying to add content, but to get his rocks off.
Reminder, Alpha can still get good endings and Beta can still go to prison. Play the way you want, but understand you reap what you sow. If you're raping people in the game, then you deserve to go to prison in the game. If you lie to the police so your Uncle can continue profiting off of the exploitation of your family, you deserve to go to prison. Stop being bitch babies and live with your consequences. Man up and take your medicine. Don't want to do the time? Don't do the crime. It's easy.

I haven't watched the ending video yet, just haven't had the time but so far I thought ending 8 was about perfect. The only two complaints I have is you're a hella tease with Maria, and we see Elena get pregnant but the ending slides end before it's even mentioned.
For Maria I understand, literally every bit of intimacy they'd ever shared was recorded and used as porn, their first time being alone without the player was very satisfying narratively. Still a damn shame we don't get to see it though.

Have tried several endings, there is nothing in this game for anyone who was a fan of the mom
The games ended already?? is there no decent ending or more action with the mom?

Want to know a secret? Linda (the mother) was never a love interest! For the entirety of the "present" in the game, she was only ever a victim. The best thing you could do to make Linda happy, was get her clean and give her grand-babies.

Don't let the critics get to you. The writing was pretty clear about her being a victim of livelong abuse & addiction, not a LI (at worst a "sleep rape interest" for evil MCs). Its more or less people falling victim to wishful thinking & porn logic (or maybe skipping all the text)
