So I'm trying this out, and it seems good but the walkthrough is kind of shit. It tells you about the Alpha/Balanced/Beta paths, but doesn't give any clues about what to do to get the good or bad ends. Which kind of defeats the point of having a walkthrough.

There are multiple endings, both good and bad. Also there are clues for how you end up with some of the bad endings in the Walkthrough.

Ok, so play with your mod to get the sexy time and not be a complete sociopath but no matter what no hanky panky with the landlady.

That is one of the ways you can do it.
There are good endings for both the Balance and Beta paths and if you do anything with the mom then that will heavily boost your Alpha Points which can lead to one of the bad endings.

There are multiple endings, both good and bad. Also there are clues for how you end up with some of the bad endings in the Walkthrough.

I tried the high alpha path first, and the walkthrough gave lots of hints about which choices to pick to do better with various girls, and which give 'better alpha story', I chose most if not all of these, yet all the girls except Lucy turned against me at the end and I end up shanked in prison. It mentioned that some choices could lead to a bad end but not what exactly would cause it. Like I said, the walkthrough is good at telling how to get on which path and showing the alpha/beta scores, but my experience is that it didn't help with the ending at all.

So...no ending where you get to get rid of the uncle and take over the family biz? Or at least keep that sorry excuse of a mother in her junkie leash as a new handler, like she deserves? Guess no "eye for an eye" route in this one.

Endings were unsatisfying but props for managing to finish it.

So from what I understand from reviews and skimming through the thread there is only 2 paths available for the player. 1 the MC is an abusive sociopathatic rapist and this is the only path with sexual content. 2 the MC is a complete simp loser and this path almost no sexual content. So is just supposed to be a game where the player is forced to give in to their bases desires if any content is to seen?

I really want to know where this idea started. Alpha path gets some sleep rape scenes, other than that they are ridiculously close to each other in terms of content.
Beta path isn't a beta path, it's an alpha path. MC's views on masculinity are just so twisted that he thinks he's a beta because he's not acting like Big John. That's the path where he's the most manly, protective, mature and romantic, and there's plenty of lewd content in it. People here are either remember the first few version where alpha got some molestation scenes, or they're making dumb assumptions based on the words alpha and beta.

That felt like a huge troll moment, as if the game suddenly switched from PG-18 VN into fairy tale mode, where you jump from romantic kiss directly to "married & lived happily ever after". (other than that, i really enjoyed the game a lot)

Thanks _13_! The Fosters is such a good game. I've really enjoyed my playthroughs of it.
I'm really looking forward to playing through Our Island now too. Thanks for your awesome work

Got one pretty decent ending after messing around a bit to avoid jail. Hopefully we see an ending list with a walkthrough that outlines how to get each one at some point.

The short version, is take the beta path for the good endings. It's apparently possible to get one of the good endings on the balanced path (probably one of the ones without Maria, but I didn't trace the code to see for sure.)

Really no romance options with her leading there: you can talk & be respectful or you can sexually abuse her (sleep sex) - but that (contrary to porn logic) is rape & won't make her magically fall in love. However in the good endings you get a small teaser:

Just make sure to actually read the answers and don't just pick the largest numbers: alpha points can be good, but the huge alpha gains from a single option usually mean its a massive jerk option (with negative consequences). So just playing by the numbers is a bad idea.

Just so everyone knows, you can get a good ending as Beta, Balanced, or Alpha. (6, 7, 8, 9)

You can get a bad ending as Beta, Balanced, Alpha, or Super Alpha. (1, 2, 3, 4)

There is one ending which is neither good nor bad which all paths can get. (5)

The endings aren't solely based on the point/personality path you're on, but also on the different choices you made throughout the game.
