Yeah I don't really know how much of text-full those scenes are but I'll take your word for it that it has a lot of images, and yeah that would be a problem if there are a lot of them.
It's a fake option to give you a bit of false hope, there's no path for it. You're forced to pick one creepy dude or the other.

Well, maybe we're thinking of different scenes. But the one which has Susan summon you and then ask to pick her major for her, because she cannot make up her mind, has this option as basically just loop back:
