Hey everyone!

I'm back, and started working on the new update.
Here's what my main focus will be on:

1. More consistent lighting: Sometimes it's good, sometimes it's completely all over the place, so I'll have to fix this and maintain a constant good quality, no matter if its inside, outside, daytime, nighttime or whatever.
2. More precise posing: I feel sometimes it gets repetitve, or simply just not good. Plus clothes clipping through and stuff...
3. "Rubber dick syndrome": I use dicktator for my MC, but the texture is awful. I've found a solution for the future, a texture asset for dictator, which will be implemented in the upcoming updates.
4. Unrealistic teeth: Either too grey or unrealisticly white. This is also a lighting issue, so improving my lighting skills will also help this problem.
5. Hair problems: Hairs are probably the most complex assets of the software. Good looking, realistic hair assets are EXTREMELY resource hungry, so they are basically unusable. Even if you have a 4090/5090 or whatever top of the line GPU, you can't make a proper scene with more than 6-8 people, it will eat up all the memory you have.
   Obviously, low res hairs are usable, but ugly. So I'm still looking for nicely optimized hair assets.
6. Adding an english speaking proofwriter and an animator to the team. If you know someone, please don't hesitate to contact.
7. And last but not least, fixing the bugs in the released version.

I hope it's avoidable also, not a huge fan of lesbian action until it only happens with mc during a threesome. If there is girl-on-girl without MC, I hope I don't have to see it now.

When creating a translation using the Ren'Py SDK, some text from the original scripts.rpy file is simply missing in the generated translation files. Specifically: Main character name? and Jimmy.


If you're planning to work with translators in the future and expand language support for your game, it would be a good idea to improve this part. You might also want to consider adding language switch buttons in screens.rpy. Just a suggestion for the future


I solved this issue as follows:
Wrapped the prompt like this: (_("Main character name?"), length=16)
And assigned the name using: renpy.substitute(_("Jimmy"))

I've got some inside info, but I won't share personal details:

- I worked with the dev before release for playtesting and helped with some dialog proofreading/edits
- After the release of v0.18 I did some more edit-suggestions work and passed it to the dev at the beginning of May. After some time he communicated that there had been a personal life event that was a major distraction from thinking about the game.
- I haven't heard from him since and don't know if there are plans to continue.

I think the game had some good potential (which is why I volunteered to help with editing). The dev had a clear idea for what he wanted in the game, and did some cool work with the cars and street racing scenes. I hope he comes back to the project when he has capacity.
