Because some posters were real posters and they're sure steam won't accept them, so they have to spend 4 hours for each and every one of the 3000 renders they have to redo? Because steam will absolutely catapult them to the riches they are seeking?
Followed by 4 months and counting of complete radio silence despite there being 2 (at least?) devs working on this.
That's honestly pathetic, with quite possibly the dumbest reason to hold up development for over a year. This is a good use-case for AI, to replace posters in images - but even if you hate that idea, photoshop has been a thing for a long time now. This is something that should take 4 hours TOTAL, not 4 hours 3000 times.
Even if they manage to finish those re-renders, the fact they've done jack shit for over a year, with weak update(s) prior to that, and been completely useless wrt communication... it's not exactly something that inspires confidence.
This is a dog-ate-my-homework tier excuse.
