You need to unpack (and remove) the new versions three .wolf files and merge them with the patches, it'll work then. The Butler posted instructions on the patches post.

Bug fixes for 1.50 and 1.51, a lot more save slots. You should get a basic change log with the game, or the Ci-en one for 1.50 is back here.
