Cheating using Mtool

I use this tool to translate Japanese games to English Mtool

its very good it works on most rpg engines and some visual novel ones. By loading this game into it (which doesn't need translating) you can use the ingame editor to change values. by default these are shown in japanese. But if you run the translator on the game it can translate that, to make it easy to find what you want to change.

I had the same question, schneefall wrote me this answer and I haven't found anything better I did message nubaleen to see if perhaps they've done any more work in the past two years. I'll let you know if they respond.

You might want to check out these:

More info - You can just get this. The differences aren't really that big, it just comes down to a couple of characters and preferences (mostly the lady in the robe with the blessings has been replaced).

In theory it would just be a matter of copying over the translations from one of the good ones, but the problem is wolfrpg isn't that easy to use for a quick switch-over.

Overall I would recommend playing both and then check out the link in the op, that one has different characters (eventually pick one that suits your taste).

Hi, after you finish the game you get 4 people you can call in (idk if its 1 of the patches) 1 of them is an applicant, but its the same one everytime, even if i remove the markings its still same applicant. is there a way to change them around?

I can't get it to work on linux, it just freezes every time I try to do something like click a button or open settings (load a new texture?)
I've decoded the .wolf files and disabled devenum, set japanese locale, tried switching to directx9, used dxvk, gallium 9, wine d3d11, wine d3d9
Amd gpu, nixos, linux 6.3.12, wine 8.5 (also tried proton exp andd 8)

I don't know what version you used, but Kagura's uncen is not that good as I understood from comments here.
There have been a few uncen patches, you'll have to look it up. Or just find a package with all the mods you want (possibly under the mod section).
I remember there was one uncen patch that really suited my tastes, but it was later replaced with a "better" one and I can't get the one I liked anymore .

I'm working on trying to create the master experience right now for the game for my own playthrough. Happy to share with folks here when done, but I have some questions given I don't have too much experience playing the game.

1. What is the difference between PCP 1.35 and 1.39? From what I can tell, the latest Spanish version has 1.35 from the title screen, but it does seem like it contains the contents and more from the latest PCP (like the eggplant girl and knight).

2. What would people say is the best translation for the vanilla game. Is it PCP, the official translation, or some other mod?

Have you installed a Japanese language pack and set your language for non Unicode programs to japanese? It saves a lot of headaches with japanese games similar to this one.

That aside, default settings mostly work. Aside from the fact that you can only enter fullscreen from the config.exe. Also the settings on the right are changeable with F5. A lot of RPGmaker games use that to go back to the menu, so you might hit it by accident. So if someone is wondering why they've got tons of input lag and frame skips, they might've hit F5.
