Do you realize the developer is in the comment section? Also, what kind of rebuttal was that? Takes a special kind of no shame behavior to defend disrespecting the developer so much

Just want to note, the option to report a comment for containing an update that is not made public is not for getting the post deleted, it's to alert the mods to add the update to the main post at the beginning of a thread. Same way the walkthrough got added to the main thread, I reported it as a walkthrough so the mods would pin it. This is, after all, a pirate forum. If you were to report 0.2.6 early right now, it wouldn't get deleted, it would be added to the main post, giving it more visibility.
And for what it's worth, the dev accidentally leaking 0.2.5 early the other week is what motivated me to even make my mod (that and all of you constantly throwing out random point totals and asking "points doko?"), so it can go both ways. This forum is innately a double edged sword for devs; best place to get promotion for a new game and a community that can build additional tools to enhance your game, but also a community that may leak your game versions early. It isn't all one way though.
As for the dev's mental sanity, The King of Summer dev seems to have an excellent head on his shoulders. I believe he'll be just fine, have some faith in him (it's not even full 0.2.6 as far as I'm aware).
so after playing this it seems like both satoshi and mary are just refusing to see their just incompatible not even as couple but as people. I do think its a bit to much authors hand in certain scenario like satoshi not saying he loves Mary or not taking a offense when guys flirt with her

Well actually the dev has mentioned he is going to be doing some reworking on Satoshi's character in the early game to not make him out to look like such a dick. Apparently that is a problem for people cause ive seen several mention things about it. Personally I dont care if Satoshi is a dick, an ignorant fool, or even a super genius. He is just a character in the story however the dev pictured his character when he started this project should be the character he remains. I dont want to see a dev compromise their vision of their project to appease people who get it for free anyway. (Not saying he's doing that) But it seems like people dont understand that these are just characters in a story. We are not the characters... We might control them briefly so we can see different parts of the story but we arent the characters. Everyone has characters in stories that they like and some they dont like.

Still, considering how much content there is for a 5 month game and how active the dev is, King of Summer deservers more recognition.

He's a goddamn ntr protagonist ffs so treat him like one: of course he's bound to be a gullible fool, a hardcore believer, a goodie two-shoes, a dense mf, etc, etc. It's a pivotal device in most netorare/cheating stories. misread it (feels older then it is i guess) played this game a while back and not much changed a lot of repetitive scenes
slow progression even with console cheats LOL ironic the game is NTR but uncle keeps getting cock blocked

Exactly the dev doesn't hate the character the "HE" created these people are just projecting themselves into Satoshi because he is the main attraction of the games's boyfriend and that is what they want to be. But like I said, Satoshi and Mary just characters in a story the player is not them. They arent used to playing a game or VN from the 3rd person point of view.
No, you're right - this isn't a developer making art themselves. They're using the koikatsu engine, which anyone can do, and overlaying a shit game on top. It's lazy and boring.
The koikatsu engine is used like a tool nowadays and makes it possible for either untalented game developers or game developers who have a knack for porn game writing and development(just like no try studios) to make their vision come true, and koikatsu also makes it easier to add animations, but with a learning curve, and that’s good because there’s barely any animations in porn games nowadays.. it makes better fappable material in porn games. So no, the koikatsu model style ain’t boring to look at for most people, nor is it a shit game seeing as how good the game is.
