One last question I'm 100% sure that I approved Qum's research, but still, it did not 'trigger' (the Research slot was not booked and had no effect on the War). Did I choose the wrong option? The first dialogue choice had Qum reply negatively, so I avoided that. I chose the second (something with 'Take some time from Robin.....') Did I unintentionally reject Qum's research??

I think you did reject it.

It doesn't do anything during the war, it comes into use just after it during the talks so you'll know if you got it or not.

Her research is the Qum Bomb that stops everyone arguing and has some fun side effects.

I think sahe mentioned in the discussion leading up to that point that she worked with Robin and they started to develope the basics of a new spell, which means she asks for permission to finalize that research or wether or not you want to use Robin's time on something else (her spell is one of the best research Options at the time though)

Pretty sure it's not available yet. Also, you need RP 100 to lock RP for any harem girl, so 99 ain't enough

What can I say, i'm at mid chapter 2 now. I can say Simon is a decent dude, just too scarred and indecisive in some matters, but that's human so it's ok.

What i can't get out of my head is, why the fuck does he blabber about free will and shit and oh, the economy when he just straight up murder the bar owner at the beginning of chapter 1 and steal his shit, no remorse. As far as I know/read, the guy run a legit business, he got murdered for not buying the poor people foods with his hard earnes Sx, what the fuck Simon, I didn't know you're a filthy socialist that wanna force his ideals on others, BY FORCE. Jesus...

Why the fuck do one need to give their hard earned money to random strangers or risk being murdered for not doing so ? Yo Simon, why not murder the old woman running the bar at chapter 2 for another sweet easy 20k Pron ? If you want to be Robin of the wood, start with the merchants or the higher class instead of targeting the common riffraffs.

Oh no he sold alcohol to people who wanted alcohol how awful! There is a lot of bars in the poor districts throughout the game Simon needs to go kill them all now right? What do you expect the bar owner to do close his business and become poor? refuse service to paying consumers even with the place going into a recession? Even after Simon killed the dude he was replaced and their was still alcoholics. Simon Can even help create a bar near stineford But the bar owner was nicer so I guess its okay to sell to alcoholics and poor people now. The bar owner was a symptom not the core issue.

I'm fine with those. Just feeling calling out Simon's blatant hypocrite act at the beginning. What he did after fit a narrative, but at the beginning of the game ? It's just Simon being a douche over his petty opinion on the bar owner, why not kill the old woman bar owner in chapter 2 then ? Or did he realize his mistake ? Or simply because Simon did not hold a grudge with this old lady, compared to the previous bar owner ?

Beside, bigger picture is for later, right now Simon just want to fuck bar owner up because bar owner is easy target and Simon hates him. If he really wanted to play Robin of the wood like I said, he should targer the merchant class or the noble, not someone trying to run a business.

But really noone says Simon is a Saint, there is no black and white or good and evil in the world, the whole point of the story is about it being an chaotic mix/mess.
