I would just argue that lore-wise spending Arclent Acceptance seems to be the correct move given the nature of the "doomed king" plan. Similarly to ProN, there seems to be more indications that now is the time to cash-out rather than hoard it up for a surprise big final expense.

With that said there are probably a couple more events before the final battle where I could see the player needing to spend a bit more Arclent Acceptance in (succession crisis part 2, dealing with the Mother) so the post-IW Arclent Acceptance the player can gain could be helpful there. Or maybe it is just like the Yhilin Acceptance gains you can get from buying Lamia statues, which is only possible after you get Yhilin Final and so apparently useless.

Slim probability>no probability.
the slim probability it's for "keep in reserve", to other two have already done their effect.
no one can bar the possibility of some of this switches can take in account. but will be minor at best.

As the game's most ardent supporter of the painfully outdated "Early Monument" plan, you should believe in that more than anyone.
The difference between Arclent Acceptance and IW_Nyst is the fact that we are still getting the former stat from finishing quests in content added after the IW, so obviously it's likely to be used again. IW_Nyst? Not so much.
the plan isn't outdated. our knowledge of the suitor score effect are barely advancend since the end of the succession crisis, and all we got it's the relevance of someone (donovan, bhakam, ignias and kalant) over the other (ghanth, jhenno, farnan)
because the monument reduce donovan and he is in the first group it's still rilevant, in unknown measure.

basicaly return to square one.

And yeah, I don't believe any of the Fleet switches will see use again either, to be honest. But Reserve DID already serve a purpose in the IW.
Supplies= Additional AA but no IW bonus
Reserve= Neutral AA but small IW bonus
Order= Negative AA score but major IW bonus
You'd honestly say that keeping the airships in reserve is more likely to be a positive in stat-checks, than delivering supplies, in a game that rewards altruism as much as this one? You only keep that reserve during the war. After the aftermath you have the same fleet around with no losses and only the reputation gained from what you did with it. Seems like you'd be remembered more fondly in any given side-quest's stat-checks, if you went out of your way to help the entire continent.
you can save the agnostic, and in this case the captain of the airship in yhilin palace tell you "patrici had big plans"
so it's possibile the airship will take a role in the endgame calculation, and having more airship ready can help.
it's suspicously similar to the economical help you can give to rodak, for now no check is made about that decision, but i hardly think the dev don't have plans for it.

But whatever. The fleet part is admitedly pretty ambigous. The importance of IW_Nyst vs Arclent Acceptance seems far more clearcut. Seems decently possible for Sierra to hide a Shining Sword or some less obvious "thumbs up" for the player near the endgame, behind a skyhigh Arclent Acceptance requirement, and most of us have taken conciderable hits to this score after Neranda and potentionally also Elleani's events.
you take an hit since chapter 5 start. return to stineford result will be alwasy negative arlcent acceptance, and in the negotiation hall for free eustrin iris will said "For whatever it is worth, I think we should not overvalue the Doom King's reputation." i cannot think a more clear hint to not hoard your arclent reputation.

But you know what? Screw all of that. Because the reason I made my original comment was to say that optimization is tricky in the most recent updates, and that no newbies should take the advice of you or me or Thosha or anyone as fact. I don't know, you don't know, no one knows. So let's all stop pretending to have all the answers, hmm?
never said to have all the answer, i have one answer, my playthrough, and it's basicaly stop at the start of chapter 5. luckly IW aside there is a clear superior choice for the event in the last chapter (return to stineford, free eustrin, second gathering)
and thosha is double lucky to have start the game after the synod. lol.

Fleet reserve already had an effect, what are you talking about? Your own damn walkthrough relies on that effect to get the best result, lmao. Keeping the fleet in reserve, meant reserving it for the final Aftermath airship battle, which is already over, so it has already been used.
The fleet isn't going anywhere and isn't weakened or harmed by distributing supplies, so how exactly does that prevent them from getting used to the same degree in the potential endgame? Explain why exactly your airship navy should be less capable of participating in future conflicts because they distributed supplies, rather than fightning loB's stragglers.

Oh sure, we know nothing more about the succession, than we did at the start of chapter 4. Of course, other than Donovans score already being at a fat 0, and marked "impossible" even without the monument. Oh and that Donovan proves himself during Stineford to be a total pushover and not a real threat to Simon and co. Oh and that the Warden of the South event gave clear proof that suitor score is the same as the original candidate score, not a new statistic. Oh and that Orcents proof "ruins any chances at Tyna's hand Donovan has". Oh and that the IW crystal run made very clear attempts to setup Antarion as the main antagonist of the Ardan succession, while the others play side roles.
Nah sorry mate, discussion's been over for a while, but at least it will be fun to gloat when the update finally drops.

"For whatever it is worth, I think we should not overvalue the Doom King's reputation." is not a reference to the potential future irrelevance of Arclent Acceptance, but rather obviously a nod that Simon shouldn't overestimate how popular the Doom King is on Arclent and how much the continent will let him get away with, without protest. Something that has already come full circle with the Crystal Run, and the potential fallout of that event. Iris warns Simon against using too much AA, so it doesn't go negative during the Crystal Run. But the fact that new events still give Arclent Acceptance means that we aren't done with that stat yet. It's not complex.

Finally, if you know that your walkthrough not necessarily is optimized, then stop pushing it at anyone asking, like it's the Bible for the TLS, flawless and objective. At least make the truth clear. That:
"Hey new player! Here is my walkthrough you can use! I do some weird shit with my money that most of the experienced players avoid in the start of Chapter 4, which costs a large amount of investment money in the long run, and I haven't really planned chapter 5 out all that much, but it's still decent!"

Reading the previous discussion after looking into other threads on this site is a hoot, I'll say that! :p

But yeah, I'm with Robin- Simon's being given a bit of a cold shower and reminded that the Doom King's still kind of iffy with Arclent's people. Which in a way is kind of what he was supposed to be, if you think about it.

In all fairness, until the game is complete we don't know what the optimal playthrough is, there might be quite a bit of wiggle room. I think Robin is being rather harsh. Truth be told, back when we had the old wiki, Tosha's playthrough and the others didn't go that far and for a long time, Fulminato was the only one that I know of that had any sort of walkthrough to get the best event results up to the point the second gathering came out. For a lot of players, myself included, that didn't have that much knowledge of the switches and the requirements for the best event outcomes, his walkthroughs have been an amazing help.

I don't think anyone assumes it's the one and only way to the best results, however using his walkthrough's so far allows players to get all the best event outcomes that we know off, which in the end is what I think players care about when using walkthroughs to help them with some of the decisions with unclear long term effects. It's a very long game to the point that getting to like chapter 4 only to discover a dialogue you missed back in the first stineford section, or a wrong investment, now sets you on a path where you go from one bad event outcome to the next and will need to start over can be demotivating. So let's just appreciate everyone working hard on making these min max walkthroughs, without them most of us would be struggling with the Ardford summit.

Edit: On the topic of unknown variables that might come into effect, as far as I know there is no use at all yet for Rodak country score, would not be surprised if we end up needing that at some point in the future, which would of course impact decisions as well.

Also, do we know yet what the impact is of the reinforcements for the regions at the start of the IW on the agnostic? Don't recall seeing the results from that anywhere

I cannot express just how much I love this game. I went into it with expectation of it being another generic fantasy porn game, but I was blown away. From the plot, to Simon's personality, to the girls, to the management aspects, it's perfection. Does anyone have recommendations for any similar games? It doesn't need all of the same features, but I'd like to know of other RPGM games with a great story/characters. Hell, it doesn't even need to be RPGM if the story is good enough.

Is there a way to play it on android?

If you have any questions, unfortunately I'm not the person to answer them. I played TLS on Android only once and it was a long time ago.

The closest I have ever encountered is Fractured Worlds: The Nether Sky. Sadly, the dev's inexperience lead to more and more "spaghetti code" as the game got bigger until he could no longer handle it. Also, had to skip the majority of sex scenes due to kinks that turn me off.

For another that has some leadership and management elements and is good, (though not nearly as much) there is Renryuu Ascension.

I tried Renryuu Asvension before but couldn't really get into it (though to be fair I only played for about an hour), but maybe I'll give it another shot. The fractured Worlds game doesn't really seem like my cup of tea. Thanks for the recommendations!

if you want optimizing you will need to restart the game, more or less.
otherwise, play and see. you cannot get a "game over" for a missing investment

this should be just before start the IK war. just check everything because is a old save and i'm not sure at 100% to have done everything.
Added an important one i just found

- Feed demon fruit to Sabitha (newly added event)

- Talk to succubus in Denlak at the Fuckball arena -> Shining Sword and other loot

- Talk with succubus inside Denlak weaponshop + Chasm falls armourer (flavour)

- Orcent bar talk in Orgasmic empire

- Can make Yarra's first slut pin in Yhilin

- Country score for Orgasmic empire is 27, spend 500K pron on the green haired succubus in the OE to get the score to 30! (needed for the IW aftermath)

Edit:
- Also need 1 more Darghelon Country score for IW aftermath, maybe Fulminato has a save around the end of the Incubus prison, but at this point of the game there's no way to get 1 more Darghelon score, also, not invested in Theltiar Rentals so missing an additional Darghelon stand

I think it'll be helpful to lower expectations for Renryuu. Considering that the dev hardly makes any money from it and releases public builds a DAY after supporter builds, it's good.

Just, you know, not as good as games that are better funded.

My issue with that game is that it kind of felt all over the place. The game could have used some more structure. But it's been at least a year since I've played so it might be worth giving it another shot.

Yeah it is structured more like an open world game compared to the semi-linear Last Sovereign.
