Ok so it was reading a letter on a table that i had missed. If there was any text to draw my attention to it I musta accidentally skipped passed it. Btw if you havent already broken the illusion to the succubus village, you can't do so at night. it says to wait until you have more time
no. the first opportunity you can go in the village is the night of day four (the orc tournament's day), and you can meet an elite succubus in the frozen grove with a hint for the sword. in the day after she vanish.

God, despite being 2 chapters in, I have 0 memories about the game itself, because I had to read walkthrough for each bloody step. And all of those "hidden variables" BS, which you can't ever play around unless you read about them in the WT. Does it get better eventually, because game has plenty of good concepts, but it's hard to enjoy them, because of the annoying forced gatekeeping mechanics or chapter structures.

Also, most of the scenes I've unlocked are lacking CGs, is this intended?

The game is design that way the world change depending on your choice the CG is not yet all implemented we just got them recently. Also the best way to play this is not use the walkthrought at first I myself only use it after playing it blind to get much better result.

It's not about the value of your choices, it's about overwhelming majority of the "invisible" factors and various points that affect game's plot, without ever being mentioned or explained to the player. Sometimes you get implications that there is a certain timer in place, but you never see the actual timer, so it is impossible for you to adjust your gameplay accordingly unless you just go and look at the numbers in the WT.

Branching story and the value of player's choices are very demanding features, which here are handled amazingly in the context of the story, but as far as gameplay goes, they force you to tediously analyze your every move, unless you are okay with losing decent amount of content and different features. One guy, above me, complained about missing Altina during the 2nd half of the 1st chapter and I can already see, how that cucks his whole progress during 2nd chapter Aka's route, which is couple of gameplay hours further in the story and then it simply becomes a snowball effect: where you lose certain scenes and affection points, you get blocked from taking/completing certain quests, therefore you can't gather enough invisible points for the ambassador guy, who then will probably cuck you in the next chapter of the story.

And as it stands now, I hardly see any replayability value, because most of the so-called story branches just differentiate between "more events" and "locked events", given that so far story is pretty much linear.

The game has full art for chapter 1, but for most scenes after that art is still being worked on (I think the artist just finished making one scene for every character, not sure what they will focus on next).

I would say that after chapter 2 the game is more carefully designed so that you don't accidentally miss things (no vague "timed" events, more explicit directions about things you should look for, second chances to get some things you might have missed), but complex interactions between many obscure variables is always a defining factor of the game.

If what's pissing you off is the whole "having to make sense of a lot of obscure information scattered across the wiki", try walkthrough instead, it is condensed to just the instructions of things you should do for an "optimal" playthrough. The main downside is just that the walkthrough can't be 100% certain of what will be truly optimal in the end since the game isn't finished yet.

If you don't like any type of walkthrough, just play the game blind but with the assumption that it is worth your time to be a completionist. There is a snowball effect of OPTIMAL previous results being necessary for OPTIMAL future results, but overall the game is balanced so that the "decent" to "good" results are always achievable without much guessing or psychic planning as long as you are being thorough, the story is overall still pretty satisfying.

Thanks, that's exactly what I was wondering about. I have no problems with too many variables or scaling difficulty, as long as they are fair and not just BS "Gotcha" coming out of nowhere. Guess I will stick to WT for now and see how it goes further into the story.

I reckon this is probably the best written game on this site. I'm not finding myself at all bothered by the lack of art (although more would of course be nice)

A question about the Arodheim suiccession in new givini. I'm trying to knock donovan down but cant seem to figure out how. Walkthrough says talk to Elliani to ask his whereabouts, but when I speak to her in the room she just gives generic responses. I've spoken to the angry guy at the memorial and spoken to donovan and the mage at the mages guild (Although that bit still doenst feel resolved)

Do I lose the equipped weapon, armor and accessory? Any way to recover the lost equipment without going all the way back to the save when he was in the party the last time?

no, you don't lose the equip. in the next (and i think last) orc-only fight the equip will be returned to your inventory

So there's an orc only fight in Chapter 5, huh?! Gotta wait for that before I can check if the equipment were retained or not.

Coz usually Chosen's equipments are lost when they die. Case in point, when Kai dies, if you don't unequip Altina and Kai, you lose all those equipments. Same with Tal, after you kill him.

at the start of that section is checked if any orc will die, and return the equipped items for that orc.

for kai you are right, but for tal no. his equipment is returned to your inventory in the scene with varia trow a bomb at the group.

Nice. Thanks

Also, just had the conversation with Wynn regarding equipment. She says "you'd better not take my stuff". Funny thing, I already took her stuff when I swapped her for Robin in the party in one of the Fucklord battles! xD

Played this several years ago and decided to come back...and my dissapointment is immeasurable.
I seem to be alone on this opinion but the art is...not good at all; in fact, it seriously takes away from the eroticism that the writing itself did just fine. I understood the art added to the intro sequence was a joke on purpose, but when the actual cgs started coming I couldn't help but feel dumbfounded at how poor in quality they were. Kingdom of Deception (Hreinn Games current project) suffers from average writing and even worse production process but excels in artstyle thanks to nomo, and now sierra lee's project has the exact opposite issue, great storytelling and decent production schedule, but horrid art. I wish nomo and lee would make up and join forces again...that or sierra needs to remove art from tls asap.

If you don't want to see the art you can go into system and hide the art. Art is subjective not everyone likes it I guess but I liked the art :(

Thank you, I did not realize hiding the art was an option. I don't even really play this game for the porn aspect, but when the writing is describing simons member as the cock to end all cocks, but the artstyle along with it depicts his fingers being longer it is pretty offputting. Art is subjective for sure, but I've seen teens on instagram that make doodles more impressive than this cg art.
