Does anyone know if you are locked into some sort of 'love route' if you reach 100 Relationship with a person?
I'm apparently too nice to everyone and triggered an event fairly early on in Chapter 2 after reaching 100 points with someone, while eyeing with someone completely different.

Both share an 'I love you.' which is nice and fine... but I didn't really want that.
The thing is that this event simply triggers at the camp when talking to said person.

So, does it lock me out of some stuff with other members?

No relationship value is not the same as love and is expected for most characters unless you fuck up something serious. Locking relationship with their 100 event just prevents them from ever going below 100 again.

An excerpt from the wiki that's prescient and only mentions chapter 1 characters:

doesn't turn all mushy even at higher levels. By contrast, Robin has a platonic father-daughter relationship with Simon but starts with the highest value. Given the game's character and political bent, this dynamic is unsurprising.

Also note that some of the later characters, you can't get up to 100 and that's fine - it wont lock you out of their content

I'd say he's less boring and more grounded, which makes him really interesting as a harem protagonist, which are normally completely oblivious, or whatever the hell you get in the prologue.
The other chars are more colorfull and expressive, yes, but this is what makes Simon stand out, by staying level-headed.

He does open up more over time tho, but as far as I've played, he stays grounded.

No, it stays terrible. I abhorred each moment of my 120-hour playthrough (ready to do it again).

Ugh, well, I just realized 7 hours later that I forgot to talk to the Yhilin ambassador in the Plight of the Poor quest and so it is a constant reminder of my failure in the Quest Log right now. Can I play with the variables somehow to make it go away?

Yah cheated.

Another thing. In order to unlock the last harem member, Sierra put in various anti-cheat functions otherwise you only get the victory sword. I got the sword from the coffin, does that mean I miss the last person cause I cheated in my saves?

If you have a save from before you first went to the Forgotten Island, you can re-cheat to make sure the following isn't true

When you arrive at the Forgotten Island, the game checks every topic on the following list. If the program detects any foul play, it prevents the player from getting the last harem member:

• 300,000 Sx or more.
• 10,000,000 PRON or more.
• Simon level> 110 (the maximum legit level should be around 105/106).
• 52 or more SS.
• Super Sword
  You must be registered to see the links

The game is free on steam, so unfortunately, no.

He would need to make a new steam account, as changing the region of your account is not longer as simple as just using a vpn.
