I only found this out after finishing DMF's Friends game, The Lewd House: Helping Hand a few minutes ago before deciding to check out The Lewdest House itch.io and saw this...

Kinda curious if this works but I don't have a laggy machine to test it on.

For Android you might need a better file explorer or be able to connect it to a PC to access this folder.
Android/data/com.dmf.thelewdesthouse/files
If you can access this great otherwise sol as figuring out how your phone works is beyond me.
* For Returning players there is also a 'saves' folder in there. Do yourself a favor and back this shit up *

Extract files from game_potato.zip to that directory. You want Android/data/com.dmf.thelewdesthouse/files/game with the following files

What does this do?

• Disables CPS Text Tags - They make the text display slower and overrides Preferences Text Speed. Though still go into Preferences and set Text Speed to full.
• Disables Kinetic Text Tags - Lots of fancy processing to make the text look pretty but if your CPU can't handle it well...
• Potato Settings:
  config.hw_video = False - Disables hardware acceleration on Android. Sounds counter intuitive but I heard some videos don't play well with it on so worth a shot. Shouldn't do anything on PC as Software Rendering was phased out for that platform.
  config.has_autosave = False - Disables Auto Save. One of those things when I'm looking for performance gains and it's a feature that could impact it.
  preferences.gl_framerate = 30 - Lowers the framerate down to 30 fps. It's for a potato.
  preferences.gl_powersave = False - Mid as well give it every chance to fight the good fight.

If that works well it's a step to figuring out what is wrong otherwise if this doesn't help then you can use game_un_potato.zip to return the preference settings to default. Just delete the files from Android/data/com.dmf.thelewdesthouse/files/game and copy the files from the other archive into there.

Make sure game isn't running when doing this or the changes won't take effect until the next time the game is started.

Edit: Putting this up here in case any PC players with lag want to try this out.
Used YAC to compress the game media files. Though the game isn't that large so I doubt it did much of anything but standardize the output.

Game went from 'unplayable' to 'bearable'. It made the loading time and the input bit lesser than before though sometimes it doesn't register but I guess it did kinda work? Also found that the game went from laggy to normal when there's a dialogue before making a choice and then it was laggy again.

Also I don't know if anyone has seen or encountered this in the newest version of The Lewdest House but there's a strange graphical bug I found in the Lynn Loud Shower scene (first lewd scene of chapter 1).

I'll tweet ya the image as I don't know if I can post it here.
Anyways I'll describe what the bug is like, the image is split unevenly when the image pans up looking out of sync with the bottom image.

Not sure if anyone else has this but I tested re-downloading the game to see if it happens again and it did.
Happening on v2.10 (says v2.11 on title screen). Yup!

Downgrading might kills save compatibility. There is a chapter select and cheats so plan B

A) Feel free not to play any game...but why do you think anybody cares you don't want to play it ???
B) Not sure I've ever heard the complaint about a lewd game that it is unplayable because the MC isn't sexually attractive enough to a player. I guess now I've heard everything.
C) You're missing the whole point of iAVNs. The LIs don't love the MC because he is attractive (as you seem to require to be able to find the game arousing) but because he is a caring and dependable person who treats them better than anyone else.

Please do not go for another engine change. Everytime this happens with a game things turn messy.

Also I had no idea pixiv was causing problems.

Were any logs generated in Android/data/com.dmf.thelewdesthouse/files?
log.txt, traceback.txt, or errors.txt

I'm researching some issues Ren'Py has had to see if anything else might help.

had some interesting info about memory leaks with Android 11 and the size of the image cache.

Looked up some odd optimization settings. Let's see if this makes things better or worse... Sorry but only those that suffer can tell me if the 'cure' is working.

• Memory Management - Image Cache 300Mb, Texture Size (4096, 4096), Prediction 32
• Memory Housekeeping - Including script by

• Auto Save - Turned back on but only after choices, inputs, or closing the game.
• Deferred Translations - There seem to be a lot of languages in the tl folder so turning this on because what the hell, why not?

I will advice you to follow DMFnsfw notes - after i learned about the menu i always check the renderer. In most cases its on "automatically choose" and i let it stay. Only in a few cases i have changed it to "force angle2", i NEWER use "gles".
But its your decision

I would say, from Chapter 3 onward, it's now where your choices are *REALLY* going to start mattering, and there will be content you will/won't get based on the decisions you make.

It's not to punish you the player of course... Regardless you're gonna get scenes....

But as an example... Ronnie Anne is going to have *MORE* scenes with you if you actively romance her and go out of your way to make her happy.

Of course if you're doing that... It means neglecting your sisters.

it's the same bugfixes as 0.2.10
And both have the same content as 0.2.9 and 0.2.8

Public: 0.2.8 --> fixes 0.2.10 (Ends right after groping and kissing Lori)

Yeah, it was by checking the "fav girl" roles on the Discord (RIP), the most chosen ones were Lucy and Lola, can't remember the rest besides having Lana and Luan very far in the bottom (I hate you, Lola bros!!) joking no joke, I hate you. ok yeah, I'm joking, all of them are great, but Lana is best twin.

That's weird, try pausing the antivirus and scanning it with windows itself or similar, or use an online virus checker if you want.
RenPy games, or sometimes even the engine itself its targeted as IDP.Generic by some antivirus, IN SPECIAL AVG Antivirus.
