4.As for Akhenaten and Tutankhamun, isn't it fascinating how history repeats? The God of Abraham exists the way he does today because Hezekiah chose to unite his people under one God, the God of War, Yahweh. Probably to shore up against the Assyrians. Thus the original Henotheistic culture of Levants turned Monotheist. Asherah, Baal, Shamash, Yarikh, Mot, Astarte and many other Gods and Goddesses were forgotten.

Didn't see any of that, but digging into the script a bit it seems to require having 0 relationship points with Xue, i.e., simply rejecting Xue as a girlfriend isn't sufficient.

(FWIW, xuerel and mcsrel were still standing at 2 on my playthrough.)

0. Indeed. In my youth I devoured everything I could from the 200 Section of the Dewey Decimal System (Religion & Mythology.) By the time I got to high school I was struggling to find libraries with books on the subject that I hadn't already exhausted. As they say, "I have forgotten more on the subject than most people will ever know (especially since I developed serious memory problems about a decade ago.)" Fascinating stuff.

1. The he/him makes sense eventually, but early on it did seem like the character was being misgendered. Having the character identify their own pronouns earlier might help the reader. Even later, when the story is known (as I recall, the mother forcing her daughter to take potions to bring out her deceased twin brother - a deceased twin brother who willingly sacrificed himself for his sister, and thus would likely find these potions that replace his sister with himself to be absolutely abhorrent!) it seems like the mother should be intentionally misgendering "he/him" while the character would prefer "they/them" (in this case, literally since they are both the sister and brother in one body.)

3. It's been a long time since I read Gilgamesh, but I don't remember Lilith being mentioned. Even the Wikipedia link seems to suggest the translation/association is a rather modern (1932) invention and likely inaccurate.

OK, I just discovered this game and played for the first time, and I have to say, it is excellent. However, I feel like I a missing something, as half the time I only get one choice instead of two and no matter which options I select previously, it doesn't change. For example, I don't get the choice to tell the truth when meeting about the skirt incident or to say yes to Amber. Tried searching the thread but couldn't find anything. Any ideas?

Fuck. I recently had some computer issues and long story short all my appdata/roaming/renpy/ files (among other things) are gone.
Somehow, I was able to recover one save from this game, which has me here:


I remember thinking about this decision for a long time (walking away from the game for days while I considered it.)
At the time I knew this was a significant choice between two characters - but coming back to it now I can't remember what the choices mean.

I'll probably just try each one for a bit and see what happens, but in the mean time... can anyone tell me what I'm forgetting?

ETA. I should probably just restart from the beginning. Has anyone put together a walkthru or similar for what the various choices mean?
