I was betting it could be finished by just one person; I'm not convinced I was wrong. (My plan on endings was to have some generic ending passages which could be included in a number of endings, plus specific content for specific paths, in order to cut down on the writing. I was always thinking of ways to cut down on the writing.)The biggest issue is that this story is deceptively complex, it's like an ocean that you can't see the bottom of. The amount of different variables and paths are insane, and even if all you do is continue the existing paths without adding new ones we're probably looking at a minimum of a dozen different possible outcomes.
I kind of feel like at you would need a group of collaborators all working on it to make progress on finishing this game, not to mention a project manager keeping the big picture together.
Sorry, let me clarify what I meant, I was saying that I don't think it can be finished a ssomeone else who isn't you, the original author. This being your project I have no doubts that you would've been able to complete it since you're very familiar with all of aspects of the story. But for anyone else ambitious enough to take it over they would first have to really dig into the reeds of the story. Looking at the guide you posted I realized that there were several side branches I hadn't encountered before.I was betting it could be finished by just one person; I'm not convinced I was wrong. I was (and still am) very proud of the structure of the game, which was designed to cut down on combinatorial explosion - the idea being that any given path would still get a pretty long story, although every path would have repetition if you played more than once. I would argue that this structure was vindicated eventually. Not by me, unfortunately, but Eva Kiss with GGGB did more or less exactly what I had planned to do and did actually finish the game. Having said that, I believe GGGB has something like a million words - which is a ton and she did graphics as well! (Which was beyond me.) I was hoping to finish Mystique with about 750K. (I got about a third of the way through. Had I not gotten sick, I probably could have written it all, part-time mind you, in about three years.)
It has full fantasy transformation into a full female including a uterus and two X chromosomes. (The game does not go on long enough for the MC to become pregnant however.)Before I crack this one open, I have a few questions. It's not a deal-breaker, mind you, but how far can/does the transformation go? Is it "realistic" in that only a feminine appearance is achievable, or does it go into fantasy territory with full-on transformation into a true female, including ALL that goes with it?
If the answer to the first question is that the player can become a true female, then the second question is can the player become a futa/hermaphrodite? I see the tag, but I have learned from experience on this site that it is rarely true futa, so I can't trust it without inquiring. Again, nothing wrong with trans stuff, just would like it to be clear what I'm getting into to avoid having the wrong expectations.
If the answer to the second question is yes, then the third and final question is whether or not such a futa is "fully functional"in both directions. I've got something of an impregnation kink (as if it wasn't obvious from the questions), the more unlikely the better. Still though, even if the answer to all three is no this'll probably be a good read. I don't mind "spoilers" so feel free to say as much as you like.
"Booth Babe" was written by Karen, who was a big fan of Mystique. I agree it was a great game, even though in the end not nearly enough work was able to be done on it.This was such a classic. At around the same time there was another great unfinished Twine game called "booth babe" or something like that. Really well written, but the writer I think transitioned and couldn't finish the game, having bigger real life things to deal with.
Oh, it's fine. While I was writing it, many people thought I had made it too complex to finish. I disagreed, but in the end they were right. I didn't finish it. So it's a perfectly valid opinion (whether you actually meant that or not).Sorry, let me clarify what I meant, I was saying that I don't think it can be finished a ssomeone else who isn't you, the original author. Yeah, I was wondering if I should add the "futa/trans" tag and since there is trans content, I decided to add it.It has full fantasy transformation into a full female including a uterus and two X chromosomes. (The game does not go on long enough for the MC to become pregnant however.)
No, there is no futa/herm. To be fair to this site, the tag is actually "futa/trans," so the tag is appropriate. (I am similarly annoyed that people use "futa" incorrectly so often.) So the third question is not applicable.
Thanks for reminding me of those three games. I loved all of them. Brings back memories!Sure you can.

For full Male 2 Female transformation corruption (no sissy) you can try JoeForest's:

Definitely correct. But there's certainly an argument to be made that those should be two separate tags.Yeah, I was wondering if I should add the "futa/trans" tag and since there is trans content, I decided to add it.
Thanks for the clear answer! I'll try it out soon.It has full fantasy transformation into a full female including a uterus and two X chromosomes. (The game does not go on long enough for the MC to become pregnant however.)

Heya Barabbas... it's good to see you're doing okay!Definitely correct. But there's certainly an argument to be made that those should be two separate tags.
