Pretty good start. A bit too much exposition in Chapter one, perhaps, and of course all the women love our hero. Let's hope he has some flaws and makes some mistakes. Visually well done!

Well after that update Allison is off the list. A hair trigger temper isn't an attractive feature.
Enjoyable overall, even the lengthy cut-scene with its amusing ending. Funny how so many games are flipping the script on familial attraction.
Could definitely use a graphic violence tag with that ending though.

As you can see my chosen name is not Derek so this is clearly a bug that should be fixed.

Fixed. Drop the attached file in the Game folder to correct it. Fortunately it's just the one intance. Was working with one of his aliases at that point and it got stuck in my head

A little insight into my process.
I am a veteran. I suffer from PTSD and depression. Years ago, when my own father passed away, I couldn't grieve the loss. I felt completely numb to it. It took several years before I could. Many of my fellow veterans told me similar stories. One commonality with us was our various coping mechanisms. Humour and avoidance was mine. Dark humour especially. A few of my buddies threw themselves into their work. Avoidance was the most common issue we all had. We never wanted to feel that pain. We couldn't let ourselves do that. It got in the way of our job.
One buddy was RCMP. His anger issues were bubbling to the surface. Fortunately he got help before he harmed himself or anyone else. Most of us met through service or in therapy with the Operational Stress Injury clinic. We still stay in contact. We meet online every couple of weeks. It's a process. We need to keep ourselves busy doing...something. I am doing this. One of my friends is going back overseas. Another had to stop drinking and using. In the end we all deal with things differently.
So, I write what I know. At least as far as the non-fictional stuff goes. The rest is just imagination.

Great story so far hopefully chapter 3 rev's up the lewd content. I know slow burn so maybe not but looking forward to the lewd. Just curious is this a remake? Because I remember a title and I believe this MC and the partner/Assistant were in a story somewhat like this one but the initial story was different they went into some mansion or big building and he was depending on player choice flirting with her or whatever and she was giving him shit for it. However that one never saw any update that I'm aware of and now here we are... Is it same story or am I mistaken? Is it same dev because the character models look very similar especially the partner/assistant. Not 100% on MC but I think same character but he looks a little more buff I think....

The story is original. As for the models, there are a limited number out there. Devs adjust them somewhat but I think many of us just have similar tastes. Allison's model gets used in a fair number of stories, as does Selena's. The MC's model is only adjusted by appearance but not size. Yeah, the Dain model is that buff. I picked him because he reminds me of a couple sergeants I worked with back in the military.
Chapter 3 will have a little lewdness. Likely not as much as everyone wants yet but I am working towards that without rushing the story too much.

Loved your game CoryF , the flow of the dialogue and pace of the story is right up my ally. The only WTF part is how lax they all seam to treat the containment of the virus, I get it is not that easily transmitted but still. The sister should not be allowed anywhere near someone's food. Anyway that's just me, you should see me with my bottle of disinfectant and half mask respirator during this pandemic.

Loving the relationship and chemistry between family so much! And thank you for not included another bitchy sister character, because I'm so sick of it! I've seen this similar plot in other games, about MC being in a coma or assuming dead, but in other games when the MC eventually came home, somehow the reaction of their family or their beloved seem underwhelming compare to the situation and that's caused a suspension of disbelief for me a lot. But, this game is different the reaction of MC's family is believable and wholesome, his step-sisters and step-mom seem to genuinely love the MC and they do feel like a real family, the characters are very mature compare to other games with similar tropes. This game is now easily becoming one of my favorites VNs. Keep up the good work dev

And I agree, the bitchy sister bit is overplayed. I decided early on I didn't want yet another tsundere in the story. I'm just tired of those. I really wanted a loving family who missed their sibling and son.

True enough. With a tsundere you need that perfect balance between keeping the MC at arm's length while keeping them on the hook. Not just a bitchy, hateful sister.

The best example for me and my favorite one for this type of character is Katie from Oceanlab's Where it all began. She's starting with being my least favorite character to become my most favorite character in that game.
I am not the best at animation but I am going to try. I do have one expected for the next chapter.
