This week I finished the labels that represent the transition from the prologue to chapter 1. The second label was originally planned to be shorter, but I kind of got lost and went ham with the number of renders because I think it deserved it.

I will share more renders in future progress updates, but for these 2 labels specifically I don’t want to because you would immediately see where the chapter is going.

I also took an evening to work further on animations. I hope I have found the style that I want to use later in the main scenes. I tried out templates from another vendor which include 2 different speed settings and a start and finish section.

The bonus scene with Ella was quite simple, as it was my very first attempt in this area. 2 simple 14 frame loops with 4 camera settings each without any movement (slight up and down movements were added later in video editing).

The new scene has loops of up to 330 frames, which will be useful if I want to do close ups and show facial expressions that last longer than 1 second. Also, this allows me to do some camera movements and zoom in and out a bit. Please keep in mind I am still just doing this since last month, I won’t become a pro within such a short time. I see progress and I think I am ready to deliver some nice scenes for the main characters in the future.

The render queue estimates a render time of 9 days for the entire animation of the bonus scene. I hope it's worth it in the end. I'm not blocked by it, as I'm torturing my 5-year-old system, which is just sitting around anyway, good enough for simple scenes like this.

There is also a member exclusive post with some lewd previews for the new bonus scene. I restricted it as a thank you to the people who already helped me out financially, because all the assets in there were bought with these contributions.

Prologue was heart breaking, you got me into tears. Renders looks amazing, story seems good, models seems fresh. Looking forward for chapter 1 brother. Great Job. I would rate 5/5 for the prologue

This week I finished the (I think) biggest label in chapter 1. Visit old friends at work and say hello to someone new. Time to find out what you've been up to in the past to make money. (Attached some sneak peaks, also the first boobies of the main game (kind of), yeah celebration).

Some big parts still missing are the ones where you meet the main Love Interests and can decide for or against their routes. I will jump to slightly smaller labels next week to be able to better estimate how long the entire chapter will take.

In general, I'm making better progress than I previously thought. The work on the prologue seems to have helped a lot. It would be nice to finish it before Christmas, but no promises as there are still a few story sections to come, with sets of a size/complexity I haven't worked with yet.

I also made some changes to the Autoplay Button feature. I changed the functionality to be “on” Autoplay enabled (everything as it used to be) and “off” Autoplay disabled. With it set to “off” there is no Autoplay at all, meaning you must manually click for every new image. This is useful if you just want to stop and look at some renders. There is a REALLY long Autoplay section in chapter 1, so this is why I changed it. I kind of forced my playstyle on others before having this change done, so now you can just choose how to play for yourself.

I applied this change also backwards to the prologue.

This week I finished all the smaller labels and started with the ending of chapter 1. After that only the big scenes with the main love interests, the setup for the bonus scene and the remaining 3 animations for the bonus scene are left.

Since I finished the smaller scenes early to get a better overview of the remaining time to complete the first chapter, here are some cautious estimates from me (I will communicate the fixed release dates 1 week before completion if things should change).

  • 3D Posing & Rendering - 01.12 Completion
  • Editing, Music & Sounds - 08.12 Completion
  • Playtesting/Bugfixing - 15.12 Completion
  • Tier 3 Release - 16.12.24
  • Tier 2 Release - 19.12.24
  • Tier 1 Release - 23.12.24
  • Public Release - 30.12.24
I will start working on the dialogues for chapter 2 after Christmas, as I have planned vacation and family time after the release of chapter 1. I also want to wait for the first reactions to chapter 1, as I want to see what there is to improve in chapter 2. After the public release is over, I will share some estimates on the total development time and the length of the game.

This week I finished one of the last big labels and two bridging scenes. Because I can't render these on my old system, I had a lot of idle time. I took advantage of this and started editing at the same time. I actually got quite far, which shows how much idle time I really had. I pretty much edited each label besides the 2 labels that have not yet been rendered.

I can't share many renders of the remaining labels due to spoilers, so I've attached a bit of eye candy from the setup for the bonus scene as a small apology.

Next, I'll start with the last remaining animations so they can render over the course of the next 2 weeks. Then I'll move on to the last label of the main story.

At the moment it looks like the release dates I communicated before will stay as they are.

This week I finished the last big label from the main story. Since I had some idle time again, I finished editing and worked a bit on music and sound effects.

As soon as the renders for the remaining animations of the bonus scene are done, I will put the scene together and finish it up next week. Then the 3D work will be done for this chapter.

I'm looking forward to the first playtest this weekend. I've been playing a bit in between and what I've seen has felt good at first sight. I will have a lot of corrections in terms of dialogues, which I unfortunately noticed while doing the 3D work. The playtests following the dialogue corrections should be limited as the choices and variables available in-game are still quite simple at this early stage of the game's development.

If everything goes well, I’ll maybe release it a couple of days earlier. The release dates I mentioned before will hold 100%.

tl;dr

I'm done.



I will do some more play tests this week to be 100% sure that there are no big fuck ups in the game.

The new release plan looks as follows:

  • Tier 3 Release - 08.12.24
  • Tier 2 Release - 11.12.24
  • Tier 1 Release - 15.12.24
  • Public Release - 22.12.24
As announced in a previous post, the next few weeks will be a bit quieter, as I have planned for vacation and family time.

I'll use the week I finished earlier to write down the rough script for chapter 2 and search for missing sets, characters and outfits.

After Christmas I will start with the dialogues for chapter 2. I expect to be finished with the first draft by the end of the first week of January at the latest. After that I can estimate the length of the next chapter and will start with weekly posts again.

I will publish a longer post between the tier releases, explaining the further development of the game in detail, as there are many questions I have never answered/not yet been able to answer.

So, in short, have fun in advance with chapter 1. You will hear less from me for the rest of 2024, but then again as usual weekly starting from 03.01.25 at the latest.
