Is there a syndrome for when you find the non-romanceable characters more attractive than the actual LIs? I hate when that happens to me (especially when the LIs are actually nice) not gonna blame Dev for a *me* problem, but I 'visually' like Ella more (those freckles :love:), Vicky (damn!), Emily (looks + personality), and even Lisa’s mom!

Just found this, mostly by accident - this story is amazing! I cannot wait for more chapters to be released.

I was almost broken right alongside MC when both Ella and Maddie died.

And I do find myself more interested in the side girls - especially Emily - than the main LIs. Not because the LIs aren't attractive, they surely all are - but Emily just seems like the perfect fit for MC. (Hope she manages to break his Daddy aversion, lol...) For pure physical attraction, though... my favorite might well be sister Madelyn, though with writing this good (I.E. not based on "porn logic") I rather doubt she will even be a side option, let alone a main LI. :(

At least for now I think it's possible to see everything, but we don't know how it will be as it progresses.

Some of these games where you pick one or a couple of LIs, you decide at the end, others you decide at key, critical points partway through the story. It could just be that you can see everyone's paths and then decide at the end who you want to be with, I suspect, but we'll have to see how it develops going forward either way.

Why not all!? I mean... boys (we) will be boys... All girls compliment each other so far... Personally I do not want to choose... Late wife's sister is a curved ball though...

I think we all have different opinions on this. I play some harem games but even in those, usually when I have a choice, I will pick my favorite almost every time and avoid harem endings. They aren't for everyone. This one doesn't have a harem tag so I doubt it will have a harem ending, but even if it did, I'm going all in for Hailey and only Hailey personally.

Like I said, so far all three LIs compliment each other at least for me. It is not about harem ending. Choosing LI after CH2 would be almost impossible at least for me.

I can already tell this one is going to be a real gem. It's hard to describe, and it's in no way the same story or even related, but when I play this it feels almost like when I first played one of my old favorites, Leap of Faith... There's a good mix of story building, character development, humor, just... I don't know how to describe it, but if I could describe it in one word, maybe "wholesome". Everything just feels well set up and the narrative is well done so far. I'll have to see where it goes from here though before I can make any final decision on how I feel, but so far, it's great.

I almost gave up on it during the prologue, but I'm glad that I've stuck around for this emotional rollercoaster. Putting the sad moments aside, there have been some parts that have gotten quite a good chuckle out of me, which is exactly what I've needed.

Looking forward to future development!

God damn, I just finished the prologue... fuck! Wish I would have read the comments here first. Was not prepared for that. It gets better I hope?

-edit: So, not too far into chapter 1 there is already a choose your path branch with no info at all. At this point what in the world would a player have to go on to make such a choice?

The emotional shit in the prologue sucks, but it is good writing so I can't be mad at that. Was actually really well done (too damn well done.. sniff... fuck you). Anyway, we as players have exactly 0 knowledge to base the path choice on at this moment in the story and the character we are playing would have quite a bit more. I don't buy the make different saves to play the different paths most of the time, and for a story that was this gripping at the start it is even worse. Completely strips away any potency to the story so far and cheapens it quite a bit.
Kind of a let down to be honest. So many VNs do this and it is just one step away from a sandbox in how it is trying to artificially extend playtime without providing a different narrative that makes the differences worth it. And it is even worse when you don't even know enough about what is going on to try to make an informed decision on what path makes sense in your mind as to what the MC would choose given the story so far. It just reinforces the impression that the choices don't represent a different path in the story, but just serve to try to reuse back story and existing assets to milk more out of a VN like the aforementioned sandbox.

I guess at this point the only choice is to either roll a dice (mod 3, of course) and pick a path at random or just hang up the game and play a fun harem game to wash the prologue out of my proverbial mind's mouth. Blah.

Developer of this game is a very cruel person. When I sat down to play, I did not think that after finishing it I would be lying on the couch and crying into my pillow. A heartbreaking story that will leave no one indifferent.
