This has been explained. Because of the way the scenes are saved as you unlock them, the language they are in depends on whether or not the game was translated when they were unlocked. If you unlock them with an English translated version of the game, they WILL be in English.

I downloaded the game from here as well as the 'latest translation' file. I also grabbed the completed gallery ave on page 1. What I didn't see was the save just a bit farther down the page that had it in english. That gave me what I was after.

A problem with that, as I tried, that file of yours, the characters file name turned into numders though

Why oh why hasn't someone yet explained, that you need to take care when extracting a .zip file?! You don't have anything missing, you just effed up the extraction...
You need to be in Japanese locale, or otherwise use a correctly set up WinRAR/bandizip/sjisunzip/etc., or the files with Japanese characters in their names, compressed into the archive (the .zip), will come out with gibberish for filenames when extracted... You have to do this with every .zip that was compressed in Japanese locale (which, considering you're huntin' for H-games, is more than likely I'd say...).

I'm using harsh words since you've been a seemingly active member, and have been around for quite a bit more than I. So you should know this already!! xD

Thanks, you're right. I just assumed that. I have my system locale set to Japanese and I've thus long forgotten about it.
Yeah, it says it obviously in the installation, but again, I sorta just glance over that since it no longer applies to me.

Means you're missing that particular .dll file required for the game to start (I don't speak the non-English language).

Because .dll files downloaded from the internet could potentially devastate your computer ... well, I'm not gonna tell you what to do, but whenever I have that problem, I do a search on my computer for that particular file, often find it's included in another (RPGMaker I think) game and just copy-paste it to my game directory.

Again, someone else chime in since I'm not an expert on .dll files by any means.

Please just read through the thread.
If you don't extract the archive properly, you get broken filenames. ALWAYS MAKE SURE YOU EXTRACT CORRECTLY WHEN DEALING WITH .ZIP FILES.

i did and all to that i can't do nothing
of all hundreds of games and all the files i repack and do it myself this was the first game i have problem to extract it properly
i go through the thread do the fix and any of the method it don't fix any issue
and it was months now i don't really care anymore
move on.

CLEARLY you have some unresolved issues with not being able to make this work. Also, sorry, I'm like 99% 110% sure it's user error, so it's you probably -still- failing at the extraction process OR getting the Vx Ace RTP.

its possible that the archive itself is broken probably during download, because of packetloss or something. did you actually try to redownload the archive? and switch to jap locale before downloading first, just in case.

I think there's your problem. You can't -for some reason- correctly extract .zip files - generally. It has nothing to do with them being .zip files of pirated games or any such nonsense.

Forgive me for being persistent, but how exactly do you try to extract the .zip you get from here? Just to make my point, here is what I get if I extract the game's .zip I download from the opening post, INCORRECTLY; after starting the game and selecting difficulty...

Maybe your browser or antivirus or SOMETHING not letting it download properly, or your antivirus, silently, during the extraction progress effes things up or flat-out won't let you run these games?!
Though that would make almost zero sense, since then the bought and official game wouldn't be working, because believe me, this is the ORIGINAL DLsite version of the game (ergo it has the same files for assets; yes, with the Japanese characters in their filenames for some), just patched with the English TL.
So if you can't extract THIS, you most DEFINITELY can't extract correctly and unltimately run an official, completlely legit and bought, DLsite game either (most of which are .zip downloads).
Just saying...

just to be clear i don't own any antivirus or anything
i disabled windows defender or any firewall but all things the same
and so every game i download from this site i used only winrar and 7zip for each of files it's required

and the most work i have to do is disabled anything that had to be done (but none i use in the first place)

any other game is fine i can play fine even the chinese or jap games i got from my friends are all jap files but they all extract correctly with zero work.
disabled anything and change anything in my system are not require and any region change or what so ever to be done

but this game is something else and i don't know why it does what it does.

and classice error i got it the first time, then tried the fix floor is missing,then tried the fix again and sound is missing
.
so i just manually fix it by change the name files instead with tradition jap and try to repack it with .zip and zero problem ever after i manually did everything (just past the first dialog cause to fix the whole thing is a waste of time).
.
i find it broken so i deleted all of files and be done with it.

If anyone is having the Graphic/Character Error, i think i figured out how to fix it, locale emulator for some reason won't fix it on its own.. You need to extract the game with Japanese Coding, i used bandi zip, set the Code Page to Japanese and extract it.
Then just start the game, if the error still stays use locale emulator as well and it should run fine.

For some reason, even though I used Locale Emulator to extract, all file names are wrong.
Can some one send me a .rar of the game?
For some reason, this only happens with .zip, but I've extracted lots of .rar files with Locale Emulator with japanese file names without a single issue, but every japanese named file is weirded out with .zip ...
